Canasta Caliente Complete

We play this on game nights with our friends. The cards seem durable and the designs are cute. I find it much easier to play Canasta and Hand and Foot with this deck as the points are already labeled (as opposed to playing on a regular deck of cards.) This game was impossible for us to find locally. Thanks Amazon!

I grew up playing Canasta with a standard deck of cards, which also does work. However, my Amish friends led me to this Canasta box of card gameS. That's the good thing About this box of Canasta. It has pretty pictures on each card, younger players love that. There are 3 different games in is box. I have not yet learned to play the other two, as we just got this for Christmas, but I can't wait to and we will be doing so soon.

Much to thick for shuffling.

We have been playing Canasta Caliente for five years or so. Canasta Caliente is great people, like me, who can't 'convert' regular cards in my head to play Canasta. The Caliente card adds additional challenges and strategy that make a big difference in scoring. With the colorful cards, their designs and point values it easier to learn and play the game.Over the years the cards have greatly improved and last much longer than when they first came out. The plastic coating is better for shuffling and dealing.Buying the 5 deck box gives you the right number of decks for 2 to 6 players. It is a great gift for a current or former Canasta player and a great game to play with children 9 and up.

As there is no game board for this game, the size of the box is inexcusable! A box 1/3 the size would have been more than adequate. And the card holder is so cheesey I will be embarrassed to use it with my friends. It is no better a quality of plastic than the disposable clam shells we toss in the recycling. not happy ;-(

They should have listed that the cards are smaller than the average cards. Nice cards with pretty pictures otherwise. It is taking some time to get used to not having 3's, 2's and Jokers, but it is nice to have the score already on the cards.

This is a great buy for a great card game. I love how there are 5 decks, as I tend to wear out my Canasta cards fairly fast from so much playing. I love the variations with this set, but the original Canasta is the best game, in my opinion. Nice touch to have the tray, so you can't peak at the cards underneath.

I bought this because after a 40 + year absense I started playing again. And I really wanted the tray that came with the cards.I loved it, my girl-friends were not too crazy about the cards, they thought them too small. The set I bought came with five decks of very pretty cards, and instructions for several kinds of Canasta that I was not aware.
