not as happy as i expected to be
I bought the 24-pk of 5K K discs for parts of a basement. I also have 5K K LED strips along my workshop that are far brighter. These discs, though rated just over 1000 lumens, seem to project a very wide pattern, resulting in approx 25 fc or so at (ping pong) table height. Six of these over a table is unsufficient for play, I had installed 14 in a space 35' x 12' hoping for more brightness than a handful of A19 incandescents that were there when we moved in. These were spaced about 5' apart in two long rows. The coverage pattern is acceptable, but the brightness is not (for me).Install was easy enough. The leads are tinned, which may or may not make your wire-nutting experience easier. The 24 were consistently trimmed to a length that was typically too long for my preference. Packaging was sufficient...none arrived broken. Each is individually wrapped within a larger cardboard box that provides physical separation. The lenses partial-turn (backwards to me) to release. I had tried one and decided it wasn't bright enough. My idiotic logic was that more would mitigate that issue. Not to the degree I had hoped. Now, I've installed 20 of them around the basement, where at least 50% of the area is just storage and shelving. They are adequate for that purpose. The shallow exposure is nice, less than 1/2" off the joists. I added plastic round J-boxes for each fixture.I didn't look into some of the comment-mentioned shorting issues. I did not run into those, but I didn't look, either. To me, the wire nuts that came with the fxitures were inferior. Didn't use them. Each comes with a pair of legs to attach to a recessed box, but they are easily left in the bag if you don't need them. I have not yet measured the current draw, but have noticed that in my application (mid-atlantic region, open ceiling joist, no insulation) the discs do not get very warm at all.Color temp appears a little cooler than my other 5K Kelvin-LEDs around. Not good or bad, but just different. I don't notice any flicker over the course of about two months now. I plan on removing the ones over the ping pong table and go with the 4' linear strips from Barrina I used in the shop.In the end, I wish I had gone with my gut and sent these back. The price was fair. The shipping was fine. The product is fine. The application did not meet my expectation. That's not a knock on the product.

Good light. Try one before investing in a lot.
I have installed over 100 of these in my new home. They look nice, put out good, consistent light, and respond well to dimmers. I have them behind both lutron and ge enbrighten dimmers. They are installed in my house, showers, porches, soffits, garage, all over.A couple things to note. They are not a true white fixture. You may want to order one to take a look at it before investing in a lot. They create a faint halo around the backside of the fixture where it attaches to the ceiling. It is from how the light diffuser is attached to the fixture and could be eliminated with some redesign. It is faint but there.

Low Priced but NOT cheap = Economical
I am a professional electrician with 30 years experience, I have worked for my self since 2010. I have been re-selling and installing these for more than a year. ("15W, 5000K, 1050 lumens"; which is the new way to say "120W bulb") I have used them in place of traditional recessed can lights, and in place of general room lighting. I have used them in bathrooms, porches, patios, and boat docks. (They are damp location rated, which means out doors but under roof). Every customer has been more than satisfied, most have been amazed. A few have said: "You were right, that is too many and too bright", at which point I sell them a dimmer switch, yep they are dimmable. I have yet to have a call back saying one of them went out. This is surprising, but true!

Great, Affordable and Efficient Lights
I own a 12400sq. ft. prime commercial office building in an upscale office park. By replacing the outside incandescent lights around all four sides and in the outdoor entryways I have made my building look so much more attractive. The lights have been installed for six months and so far not one has failed. My electricity bill went down noticeably with the installation of 30 of the lights. A good deal for my business.

great light
I am happy with the light these lights make. I had two guys install them and at first they complained they were too hard to install because they had to connect the lens to the unit that screws into the light fixture. I think they were a little lazy. They had all 24 installed in about 1-1/2 hours. The only complaint I have is when the lights are off, you can see the wires resting on the lens. I am not sure if the installers could have fixed that or not.

Pay for what you get
You pay for what you get. We bought these lights for a 2600+sqft house with all new electric wiring. We have had numerous lights (10+) go out on us in just over a year. So far we’ve been able to them replaced with no charge but it’s the inconvenience of it plus knowing we will eventually have to replace the whole house with some thing of better quality.

Do not buy
Don't buy this product it will make your house look cheap. You can see dark spots / screws through the lens / diffuser when the light is off. also you can see the tabs that hold the lens. Worst of all, all the LEDs are concentrated in the center so when you dim the light the rest of the lens is dark. Nicer lamps have the LEDs dispersed over a wider area.
