Loading Zone / You're Not Alone

Two of Roy Buchanan's late 70's albums. Loading Zone was produced by Stanley Clarke, and features a great version of Green Onions (with Roy trading solos with Steve Cropper, who of course also played on the original Booker T & The MG's version). You're Not Alone finds Roy covering songs by Neil Young and Joe Walsh, as well as several originals. Both are great records, though maybe a little more oriented toward "rock music" than Roy, ever the blues loyalist, maybe wanted to go in.

A great 2-for-1 release of a couple of Roy's best albums. Worth it just for "You're Not Alone" which had been out of print for years and was selling for $50 and up used and $340 new. Love Roy's playing. When Jeff Beck says you are great, you are!

Must have for any guitar player. I have been looking for years for a copy of Loading Zone. And now it is available along with You're Not Alone that has an incredible version of Turn to Stone originally done by Joe Walsh. Remastered sound is excellent. A must buy!

Roy Buchanan was one of my favorite guitarists in the '70's. This two CD set showcases his very different styles of musicianship. Some of his best work is on these two albums. It's too bad his alcohol abuse demons caught up with him in the mid-eighties. RIP Roy.

What I liked about this CD is the fact that it is two albums on two separate disk not combined on to 1 cd like some have done.I really really like the you're not alone album which has been hard to find on disc also have it on vinyl

These albums are when Roy Buchanan is at the top of his game. Tight, hard shredding blues guitar and strong rock/jazz fusion make up both albums. If this is what you like, you can't go wrong with these albums. I highly recommend this duo of albums.

2 of his best albums of many, how could you not love?

I believe very good guitar work on the song green onions. And Steve Cropper in the group with Roy Buchanan.
