Not only does this hat have a longer bill than a normal baseball hat but the bill is wider as well. I wanted a hat for fishing that would shade my eyes as this does the job. My other hats are more like Tilley hats with a wide brim that goes all the way around but they’re hard to keep on in the wind - this stays on easily. Also, it has a soft low top, unlike trucker hats with the high front for slogans and advertising. The hatband is adjustable in the back so it should fit a wide range of sizes.As a note, the underside of the brim is the same color as the hat, which is why I got the green one. I would have preferred a white or khaki color with a dark green underside.

I specifically ordered this cap with the extra long visor as described by the seller. What arrived was a standard ball cap visor. Fit and color were accurate. I am now going through the crap of returning three of these. Don't think I will trust the seller (Got Apparel) to send correct item. I'm looking for another source. The extra long bill is really great for shading your mug.Follow up: the visor measures 4" a standard ball cap is 3" therefore I have to retract what I wrote above, since the visor is in fact longer than standard just not as long as I wanted. Too quote the idiot from Texas 'Oops'

Quality construction. The bill is exactly 4" (at least an inch longer than many other hats). The underside of the bill is the same color as the rest of the hat. I would like to see a hat with a lighter color with the underside of the bill black in order to reduce glare rest of the hat won't get absorb too much heat on a hot summer day.

I love the long brim hats. Good thing I like the blue because I already had a blue one from previous order. I ordered the forest green and the beige one this time. A blue and beige was shipped instead. Order form correct, picker just picked wrong cap to ship. I’ll keep it as it will let me keep an extra of my favorite but note to pickers” double check your pulls!

This is now my go to hat in the airplane.The extra bill is just long enough to help cut the afternoon glare especially this time of year. Its well made and the inside has this sort of mesh lining that keeps my bald head cool. Heavy enough the headset fits good ( I did pull the button off). Green is real soothing on the eyes. I cant believe I wrote this much about a ball cap but hey, its a cool capA waitress at the cafe said that Saturday- and waitresses,especially airport cafe waitresses know cool when they see it. designed for good sun protection

I really like this cap. It fits my large head and the larger bill does a good job of keeping the sun out of my vision. I fish from a kayak inshore and in the Gulf of Mexico and over the years I've bought lots of caps and I think this may be the best. I've seen up to $25 and I like this better.

Familiar Adams good quality. I didn't even know Adams made a long-visor version until I bumped into this. Unusual for Amazon not to display all the variations on one's main interest.
