An excellent tale of 2 people - who had different personalities, different outlooks and different ideologies! Excellent performances from the cast - especially Mohan Lal! He can act with his eyes closed! A simple reminder of his enormous talent is the scene where he is told by the director of his movie that the production has closed down and that he is out of a job! How effortlessly he conveys a myriad of emotions - anger, sadness and helplessness! Another case in point, is when he is told he has been expelled from the party. He listens and then turns around and walks. Even with his back turned to the camera, he can convey the sadness!!! It was surprising he did not get the National Award for his performance!Supporting cast is good as well. One of A R Rahman's best albums! Excellent cinematography by Santosh Sivan!
