Soundtrack faulty
I knew the film before I bought the DVD and contrary to other reviewers I actually like the soundtrack by Alan Parsons Project; however, the DVD sound is faulty and the actors sound like Kermit the Frog. The soundtrack is equally off.

Stay on the left.
Fairly standard DVD release. Stupid mistake on the back of the cover stating the disc has "Interactive Menu's", also seems at first as though the movie will not take up the entire screen as the opening to the movie appears to be 16:9 done in 4:3, but the black boarders disappear and the image fills the screen once the movie proper starts.Would have been nice to have a few extras on the disc (I do not consider a theatrical trailer to be an extra) but the movie is from a time before there was a demand for any additional content.

A classic 80s fantasy movie, the actors are great, but it could be better...Rutger Hauer is good, Michelle Pfeiffer too,but not sure about Matthew Broderick.Overall, it's good.....

Love this film
I bought this DVD because I'd seen the film on TV several times and had been keeping an eye out for it on DVD as I'd enjoyed it so much. The romantically-linked couple in the film have been cursed, he to live as a wolf by night and she as a hawk by day. They are deeply in love, but the only time they see each other in human form is for a brief moment as day becomes night and vice versa. The film is beautifully atmospheric, set in medieval times, has romance and adventure. Anyone who likes fantasy adventure films, then this you should enjoy. Romantic it is, but not in the chick flick genre.

Great film but have to knock off 1 star for the bloody awful 80s synth music that horribly contrasts with the wonderful mediaeval story and scenery, aaaagh!!Other than that a really good 80s yarn ☺

Stunning Blu Ray Transfer
Ladyhawke has always been one of my favourite movies . The photography is stunning and I really wanted to see what difference the blu ray transfer would make. The picture quality is breathtaking and Rutger Hauer is extremely attractive in blu ray! I would definitely recommend this release to fans of the film, also a very reasonable price.
