Works outside too
I used 8/9 spikes with large bottles for my tomatoes whilst I was away for 2 weeks. 2 bottles still had water and my plants were fine. I've put up the bottles for future as it was not easy getting the right size bottles.

Absolute waste if money
Some easy self assembly required but the assembled part leaks.....the small tap leaks....virtually impossible to regulate to just an occasional drip so it will last a couple of weeks instead of just a few hours......complete waste of money, time and plastic! No use whatsoever in keeping plants watered whilst you are on holiday, DO NOT BUY!!

It does really work but it's fidely...
The good news:All my plants survived my 2 weeks holiday.UK bottles do work, I bought 1.25l Coca-Cola and Lemonade bottles from Sainsbury'sMy additional recommended steps to the product instructions1) The control valve is fiddly and not easy to adjust, you need patience and test the drip-feed for 2 days before going on holiday. Use a stopwatch to test the time between 2 drips. do it again an hour later etc. to ensure it really works.2) Ensure you push the control valve firmly into the spike until it clicks3) Remove the collar left from the bottle top when the bottle is opened. Very important, otherwise the bottle will leak!!!4) Cut off the whole bottom of each bottle; Do not just drill a few holes. the system needs the air pressure to work5) Water your plants thoroughly on the day you go on holiday

Faulty threads and leaks on every plastric bottle tested
The worse plant waterer I've ever bought. Cheap, faulty threads that when tightened crack and get loose again. Water leaks from the threads making the drip feed useless. Avoid this product, its absolutely useless.

Waste of money
Only found small bottle would fit so not going to last. Leaked from bottle and valve so water gone in less than a day. Not fit for purpose. Wish I tried them out earlier as I would definitely have returned.

They work
I’ve been using these for a week or three now. I’ve found that both the larger pop bottles work but the weight of water means that to stabilize the bottle leaning it against a wall or window helps. The 1L sized bottles work fun free standing. Some pop bottles don’t work, the threads region if the bottle is too short for an effective seal. Getting the right flow rate is relatively easy, just turn the tap and make small adjustments. The taps are not precise and some small adjustment might be needed. Overall good value, work well and my chilli plants are doing well.

Fits very few bottles
I was hoping to keep my plants watered while I was away, unfortunately these items don’t fit any of the plastic bottles that we use in our house. They come with a leaflet that states they will only fit the bottles listed, none of which we have at home.

Effective solution but may need some tweaking!!
A budget product that after a bit of tweaking seems to be working. The spikes fit on the usual 25mm fizzy drink bottles that are sold in the UK. However the thread depth on the screw fitting isn't great and I found that whilst some bottles sealed others did not and water drained out very quickly. My solution was to find some O rings that fit the groove in the bottom of the threaded section and this solved the problem.Adjusting the flow rates on the "drip valves" takes a little time to get right!! Also on two or three of them I did'nt seem to be able to adjust the flow rate at all the water just ran out. By unscrewing the valves completely I found there was a tiny "o" ring inside that seemed to be out of place. By repositioning it over the plastic valve pin and screwing it back in they then worked as they should. It's early days but overall given the price for 18 of them I am reasonably happy. I've only used them for a couple of days so expect more adjustment may well be necessary to get the flow rate I require.
