Striking detail and lots of humor are the hallmarks of this figure. Palisades has been keeping the Muppet figures to scale, but with Pepe some cheating had to be done. If he was kept to exact scale he'd be just under 3" tall! As it stands (Pepe would appreciate that) he's around 4" high. So although he's not to scale he's darn close. Besides the added height gives him more pose-ability. Pepe has articulated shoulders, elbows and wrists on all four of his arms. He's also got articulated neck, waist and hips. I was hoping for an articulated mouth too, but I guess you cant have everything. Pepe's wild feathery hair is sculpted in soft plastic as is the body of his jacket. The hair came out pretty good, but his antennae get lost in the mix. Perhaps they should have been made of fine wire? Unlike other Muppets figures, Pepe has holes in the palm of his two upper hands to hold items since his hands are too small to actually hold the items. Whatever small deficiencies the figure might have are well balanced by the amazing accessories. Pepe comes with a Muppets Tonight lunch box (that actually opens!), green slip on sandals, binoculars with a ribbon neck strap, a small hair dryer and a beach chair and umbrella (both of which include fabric and actually fold up). Lots of creative scenarios can be created with these. But keep in mind that these small accessories make the figure inappropriate for very young children. Pepe's personality shines through this figure even if small changes could've made him even better. Still, it's amazing how incredible the character is considering all the hurdles Palisades had to jump through. My favorite figure from Series 5.
