Picture this. It's summer. The big fluffy towel is damp from your shower and hanging on the rail. Sure, it dries (eventually), but all that damp hangs around for quite a few hours. A day or two of that, and the towel just doesn't smell fresh. Who has time to wash a load of giant towels every couple of days? Not to mention how long they take to dry in the dryer.Try one of these WetCat towels! It's like a giant tea towel for your body! It's absorbent, so you're not all drippy after getting out of the shower, and it also dried quickly on the rail. And it's much faster to dry in the dryer, too. Better yet, save the planet and hang the clean towel outside on the line - it'll be dry in no time.The towel does take some getting used to, though. It doesn't FEEL the same on your skin as a big fluffy towel. It's not as warm, for one thing. Nor is it as heavy. But I'm finding it more than satisfactory.Here are a couple of tips, based on my experience. Wash the towel before you use it the first time. There's some sort of sizing or something on the new towel. A washing will take that off and allow the towel to be absorbent. Also, don't use fabric softener on this. Yes, softener will make this (and other towels) soft and fluffy, but the softener keeps ALL towels (not just this one) from their most absorbent.

Of the many Turkish towels that I now own these are probably the thinnest but just as good in terms of quality and effectiveness as the thicker ones. Because they are so thin and lightweight they are usually the ones I grab to take to the swim club, 3 of these can easily fit in a bag that I could barely fit 1 of our old bulky beach towels in. The fact that they are pre-washed really makes a difference because I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and absorbent they were from the very first use and if there’s been any shrinkage it’s negligible. Everything was just as I had expected based on the pictures and details given, I really appreciate informative and accurate descriptions and Wet Cat has their act together in every way.

I bought this Turkish towel to use at the beach (for laying in the sand and drying myself off) rather than lugging around a more bulky traditional beach towel. It rolls up very small and I can stash it right in my bag! It's thin and decently soft, and has held up to a few washes and rounds in the dryer so far - no extreme shrinkage and none of the tassels have become unraveled.Overall, I like it - it doesn't have that same fluffy comfort and warmth as a traditional towel, but it's very absorbent and does just as good of a job. It also dries out quicker because it's so thin.However, being thin means it's not so great for laying in the sand at the beach - I felt like I could feel every pebble and shell through it, and was afraid it might rip. I think this is perfectly fine for toweling off after a swim in the pool, or a shower during the summer, but definitely not for laying in the grass or sand.

This is my first experience with a Wet Cat Turkish towel, but it won't be my last! After carefully reading many reviews, I decided to try this towel and what a difference it makes! First of all, it is much more absorbent than any luxe cotton loop towels that I have tried and I have tried ALL the high end towels from Frette, Sferra, etc. Wet Cat is a completely different experience. The towel is extremely lightweight compared to the thick, heavy luxe towels but is much more absorbent. I don't have to spend time "air drying" after using a Wet Cat and the towel itself air dries much more quickly after use. I was pleasantly impressed after the first use and will definitely order again.

**EDITED TO ADD** I have two of these and after one was it was softer than when I got it and not scratchy at all. They continue to get softer as they are washed. The tassels have stood up to multiple washes so far I have been very impressed by these towels.Also, I've never had an issue putting them in the dryer on low heat. I highly recommend these.---I ordered two towels for my daughter and I to use at the gym. They are the perfect size, and I like that they take up less space in our shared gym bag. They are a little scratchy at first, but I expect they will soften more as we wash them.Shipping was fast and they were well packaged. I will definitely consider getting more.

I like the color, how lightweight it is, how thin it is to pack to travel with it, and the texture and softness.I’m disappointed though because after the second wash, a few of the braids on the teal one I got came undone in the wash. It was fairly simple to re-braid and re-tie them, but time consuming. As shown in the pics here, I also bought a red one. It has only been washed once in these pics. I went through every single braid and made sure the knots were secure. As shown, many knots were very loose and I re-tied them to prevent what happened to my teal one. Only took about 5 minutes, but I find it crazy to have to do this on a new towel.

First things first - the packaging and the logo are A D O R A B L E. They will make for perfect holiday gifts.I bought the grey for myself for use at the beach and for poolside. Bye bye, heavy towels! This thing is great - very soft and absorbent, more so following a first wash and it didn't shrink. It is a very rich, cool grey color, and the minimalist pattern will go with anything.I plan to get another to use at the end of my bed like a throw to add to bedroom decor. The cotton material is just so nice to the touch!

The material is really soft and absorbent. I had bought a Turkish towel previously that is nice but not the quality this has. I totally recommend.
