Schaum's Outline of French Grammar, Seventh Edition

Extensive explanations and loads of exercises for learning grammar. Highly recommend Schaum's for ANY subject, not just French Grammar.

Comprehensive in scope and qualifying as a “drill” book in French grammar, this work contains more than enough exercises to increase dramatically the grammatical proficiency of the reader. It accomplishes this using vocabulary that is approachable for the beginning/intermediate student of French, and there is enough complexity in the sentences to challenge the reader who seeks a solid foundation for French grammar. The reviewer, who was studying the book independently, worked every exercise, except for those which required answers unique to each reader. Such answers cannot obviously be checked using the answer key at the end of the book. The answer key is one of the most helpful features of the book, especially for those who are not studying the book in a classroom setting since they will not get feedback or guidance from an instructor.

I searched & inspected many French books to start studying again French. This one was the best so far as it is affordable, has the most pages & exercises and is the most comprehensible. Totally recommend it. I am yet to finish so I will update my review in the near future.

For student's taking online language courses this is great, it covers ALL grammar issues levels 1-3 really need to learn. My son uses this for his classes and found it EXTRMELY helpful.

This book is well organized by section. No need to follow in any order, just pick and choose what you need according to your level.For the "Companion Audio Recording" refer to the 6th edition of the book.

Covers all grammar issues with exercises. I wish it had a more detailed table of contents. The books cover has a long lasting texture.

Just starting and find it very useful so far

Book was not shipped with care. The cover was bent and scratched. If I pay more to get a book in “new” condition, I expect it to be in perfect condition.
