I just received two of these and I am very pleased. Not only is this a great diffuser, but it keeps the bottom of my pans clean. I live in Puerto Rico and we do not have clean burning propane. After cooking I always had to remove the black soot from the bottom of my pans, but not any more. I just wish it were one or two inches bigger for large pans, but I resolve this by removing the handle and it works quite well. I definitely recommend this.

Perfect to use on my gas stove burner under a small pot to diffuse the heat. Prevents hot spots so I can melt cheese without it sticking or burning. Also stays hot after your turn the flame off so it keeps your item warm for awhile which is great for hot dips. Also it is not slippery so you can stir your food without causing the pot to shift around on the diffuser.

I had one of these years ago. I need it now because the grid on the new stove is unfriendly to the small stovetop espresso pot. This works as intended. The handle is useless though. The prongs aren’t long enough to firmly place in the hole. I had to completely remove the handle.

I have a gas stove that does not simmer. This diffuser is just what I was looking for and works really well. I liked it so much that I purchased one for a friend who is having the same simmering problem.

I’ve read some bad reviews on others. These a a tad more expensive but a good finish. No burning chemical smells. I’ve never had one crack. Use this and larger size as well as a small four-pointed shape. This one is used most. Priced ok. Only complaint is removable handles can come unintentionally undone a bit too easily. The little bent tongs that slip into the holes of the plate should be another 1/4” longer... and the handle itself another inch or two.

Maybe my stove-top gas flame is turbo but this doesn't seem to diffuse even the lowest burner.

Anyone who has ever used a campstove knows how easy it is to scorch the food you're cooking. The size of the burner often results in a hotspot and many camp stoves are difficult to turn low enough to get a good simmer going. Problem solved. This cast iron diffuser is a PERFECT solution. It fits on the grates of my Coleman stove like it was made for it and it tames the flame eliminating that hotspot effect that is so common. No more burnt pancakes or bacon over cooked on one end and undercooked on the other. I absolutely love this product and will be purchasing a second.

What a great invention. It turns down.the heat on the high heat burner on my gas range. So that I can use it for general cooking. 8 have not had.it long enough to judge durability, but I don't really see how it would not be. It is stable when placed on the burner. I like it and would buy it again.

I was going to return - decided to keep and am enjoying using it for small pots- I initially wanted one with holes to diffuse- this is easier to clean

Spreads the heat evenly, definitely helps with cooking on low with gas!

I bought this after hunting high and low for a kitchen tool that would allow me to use my 3-cup Bialetti moka pot on my gas stove. This product definitely delivered on that promise - it is sturdy and the size looks to be universal to fit most gas stove tops. The material is definitely solid (seems like it is made from the same material as the gas stove's rings), so I don't think I'll have to worry about it warping from heat. It is a little more expensive than some of the other heat diffusers out there, but I think it is well worth it.

Works well I can finally simmer on my has range. The handle is a little small and awkward but once I got used to it I could use it no problem.
