These work great and very easy to install. I bought two and used one on a pantry door and the other on a bathroom door to keep the dogs out when people forget to close the doors behind them.

I will be purchasing a couple more for the doors in my home that my family just can’t seem to close.I lost the instructions so I followed those of another review since many reviews seemed to find the instructions confusing.I replaced ONLY the MIDDLE hinge on each of my doors (pantry, closet, and bathroom). Both the pantry and closet doors had stuff on them, but even with the added weight, repacking only the middle hinge worked great.RIGHT hinge door instructions: install like your regular hinge with the hex hole on TOP. Using the Allen wrench/hex key, pulling right to left insert the long pin (that came in the box) as far right as possible. Open the door to test if it will close. If not, repeat the pin process again using the Allen wrench/hex key to expose more pin holes and moving the long pin further to the right. Once you’ve found the hole that will close the door, use the Allen wrench/hex key to hold the holes in place while you remove the long pin to replace it with the short pin.LEFT hinge instructions: install like your regular hinge with the hex hole on BOTTOM. Using the Allen wrench/hex key, pulling left to right, insert the long pin (that came in the box) as far left as possible. Open the door to test if it will close. If not, repeat the pin process again using the Allen wrench/hex key to expose more pin holes and moving the long pin further to the left. Once you’ve found the hole that will close the door, use the Allen wrench/hex key to hold the holes in place while you remove the long pin to replace it with the short pin.Hope this helps. This really is a great product. I wish they came in white but I just got black ones and painted them.

I installed this on my back door so that I can let my dog out, have the door slightly opened but resting closed, and then my dog can push the door to get back in the house and have the door automatically shut behind him without me needing to let him in.My dog hates having a closed door between me and him so using this allows me to keep the heat/ac inside, the bugs outside, and my dog stays happy.

Super easy to install and adjust. I will say they do close kind of soft. Like to the point when you watch it, it almost seem like they are not going to fully latch but do. These were installed on an outdoor gate so might be do to how heavy the gate is but overall would buy again.

I wanted a hinge that would close the door but not latch. This one works great. On the lowest setting the door will swing closed about 3/4 of the way and stand open about a foot. On the second setting it will close the door so that the latch rests on the door frame. All the other settings close and latch the door completely. Exactly what I was looking for. Great value. Hopefully it will last a while.

These hinges were well made and sturdy, just didn't work for the project we were doing. Highly recommend though 💯

Our garage door did not shut on its own. This was a finding on the inspection when we bought the house, but somehow never got fixed. The door previously had a single self closing hinge, but it had been painted over and no longer worked.Install is easy!Remove old hinge. IF painted over, tap in the screwdriver on the Philips head screw, and that will loosen and allow you to remove screw.Put on the new hinge, adjustment holes on the top. You adjust it after it is installed.To adjust tension: Use hex on the top of the hinge to tighten the spring. Insert long peg to hold the tension, tighten again with hex. Once you have it where you want it, insert small peg. You are done. There are a lot of youtube videos out there to show you how. It's easy. (I shoulda worn a tank top and created my own. :)

Items stripped out one week after I installed them. I had them sitting waiting for a year, then when I installed all 3 on an oak, specially made door, the instructions said to turn the allen wrench clockwise. Didn't work. Then I tried counter-clockwise and it worked. Then after one week, a spring or something broke inside and they don't work at all - except to hold the door to the wood door jam. VERY SUPER frustrating.

Works great, I was really impressed that it came with all of the screws hardware and even tools needed to install. It installed in minutes and was able to adjust quickly. It seems to be very good quality as well.
