Question 1

A reviewer said she tasted the unflavored version and found it to be bitter. Would the seller please confirm whether this is the case?  Thanks!

We've had many pets who have loved the unflavored and many who have loved the bacon-flavored, it all depends on a pet's personal taste preferences.

Question 2

I noticed the color of the oil becomes darker half way thru the bottle. Is it still alright to give to my cats? What could cause the oxidation?

When getting half way through the bottle it's important to pin point some factors that can play a role. There is some natural variance with the formula. To be clear, this is NOT an oil so there is no fat in the formula at all as it is based in purified water. So we don't have to worry about rancidity. It does contain a lot of extra vitamins and minerals that are sensitive to cold once opened. This formula should not be refrigerated after opening.

When you say darker, is it getting dark like a cup of black coffee? Or by a few shades of the golden yellow color? Was the bottle stored in the fridge at any point after opening? When exposed to cold dry air some of the vitamins and minerals will crystalize and sink to the bottom of the bottle.  Sometimes this can cause the formula to darken. Once crystalized it cannot be reversed and the bottle will need to be shaken vigorously before each use to ensure a close approximation of our guaranteed analysis on our label per ounce.

If the formula is open for a long time, for example if using a 32oz bottle for a 10lb dog at a pump a day the formula can begin to dry and oxidize from the long time exposure to air by the time half a bottle is reached. Additionally if the bottle is exposed to light for long periods of time such as sitting on a counter that gets a lot of sunlight or is on a counter where a light source is always on can cause the formula to darken over time from light exposure.

Does this need to be refrigerated?

Hello! Thank you for asking this. Please DO NOT refrigerate the Premium blend of our Glucosamines. (Blue bottle with pumps) As the formula is intended to be shelf stable. Refrigeration can cause some ingredients to crystalize and sink to the bottom of the bottle which would require vigorous shaking of a locked nozzled bottle before every use to avoid throwing off the balance of the nutrient amounts per serving. Out of all our Glucosamines, only our Original Blend( white bottle, no pump) should be refrigerated.

Question 4

Does this have added flavoring of any type? Royal Canin people tell me "nothing flavored" to be taken with one of their foods.
