First Impressions.. update coming
My boots came today, first impressions-Price was a little on the higher end, but I am willing to pay the extra price for a boot that will last longer. That is what the Ariat brand is known for. So as far as price goes, I'm okay with it.Comfort is important, and as someone who struggles with plantar fasciitis I will say that when I wear these boots it really eases the pain of walking.I haven't worn them long, but in the short period that I have worn them I do think they will help a lot. They feel tight around the toes, but I expect them to loosen up more after breaking them in.Getting them on is actually pretty easy. They have two pull handles on the front and back to make it easy to slide on your foot. Huge plus. They seem to be built very well, however only time will tell. I work in rough terrain doing heavy construction. In a few months I will write a follow up review. My litmus test is that a boot should hold up well for 6 months, and fairly well for at least a year. Anything more than that is a bonus. I'll let you know how they do.They look very nice and stylish. I would wear them outside of work for sure.

My new favorite work boots!
Finally! After a few years of trying (unsuccessfully) to find a replacement for my pull on Red Wing boots that are no longer made, I came across these boots. I had not heard of Ariat before this, but some quick research showed them to be a company with a lot of boot experience, albeit in the more western style, I thought I would give these boots a try. They are a part of their work gear line, and my gosh I am so glad I found them. I am a big guy, 6'3" and almost 300lbs, and I work on my feet a lot, so my boots are VERY important. These are comfortable and can handle me being in them all day. They are constructed well and seem to have broken in pretty fast. I have only two VERY minor complaints. My right foot is a bit smaller, so I am noticing the size difference on that foot with a bit of movement in the heel, but not enough to cause discomfort. This is normal for me when wearing non lace up footwear, as I can't tighten further to compensate. The other issue is not one most will likely experience. I normally wear a set of custom arch supports. In these boots I cannot due to the way the boot is snug across the top if my foot (I prefer this style of fit). Luckily the boots themselves are comfortable enough that I have not been negatively impacted by the lack of my inserts. Perhaps in a year or two when the leather loosens a bit I will try again, but honestly at that point I will likely be looking to get another pair of these boots, as they now have a customer for as long as they make this style of boot. My only regret is not finding them sooner.

Overall good boot
I’m on my 3rd pair and 1 pair usually last more than a year for me, in my field of work. I could wear daily and have that nice clean look, and still could go to work these boots. Looking good and being a good worker these boots have held their own for the price I’ve paid.

Great Comfort and Durability
I have always been a fan of Ariat Boots and these are a great pair. I have larger Calves and have always had problems with taller boots being snug around them which is uncomfortable. The lower fit boot is a great option for this as they sit right at the ankle and do not irritate my legs. they are easy to get on with the pull on style boot and give great support even being the lower cut boot. The boot itself i wear everyday and they break in easily and the daily comfort is amazing.

Not waterproof, comfortable
I bought this pair of boots because I am working at the water plant and considering that they will be comfortable and waterproof but from the day one not comfortable at all, and my feet hurting a lot and I went to the doctor and might need to have a surgery first and second my feet was getting wet.

So far... Great!
This is the fourth brand of 'Chelsea' type work boot that I've now purchased for work, and so far these Ariats are the best out of the other brands. I decided to try Ariat 'Chelsea' steel toe work boots, because I own a pair of their non-steel toe version (Ariat Spothogs), and they are the most comfortable boots I own. I need steel toe for work, so I bought these.Having had other brands, these felt great, and fit the best for me from day one. These are made for work, so the leather is thicker, and the sole is sturdier than Ariat 'Spothogs' which are more of a casual boot. On day one; wore boots all day without toe restriction, or feet hurting. Basically, no break-in needed. The leather is heavy duty, but they did a great job of oiling-conditioning the leather, so the leather is not super stiff or uncomfortable. These soles also are heavier duty than 'Spothogs', however they don't feel "clunky" like some other brands I've tried.Overall, with the other brands I've tried for work, there was always something that I didn't like about how each brand felt on my feet from day one. I can't say that with these. Time will tell, but I might have ended my search for a favorite 'Chelsea' type work boot.Nice job Ariat!Update: As someone else mentioned though, the openings of these boots are wider, and aren't quite secure around my ankles like Spot hogs are. Also, these do have a tendency to slip on my heel, unlike Spot hogs. I'm not sure if it's the wider boot opening, thicker sole, or thicker leather that's causing this.

Overall great working boot
Comfy even after being on my feet all day in the greenhouse. The top edge did rub against my bare skin causing some discomfort for the first few days, so make sure you wear tall enough socks, or tuck your pants into the top. These should definitely not be used around anything corrosive, as the leather on mine has been damaged by nitric acid. Gave them a lower durability rating because they show wear very easily.

Fit small
I bought 9.5 wide, and I am a 9 normal, and they fit me. Do with that what you will. They were on the warehouse store, cheap, and I knew they would fit me or my nephew. They are really nice, well built.Part of the reason they fit small, is that they are an insulated boot. So like padding on the inside. Warm, winter work boot. They have some safety features, steel toe. reflective strips. I do not believe they have a steel shank. Perhaps they have some sort of puncture resistance in the sole. They are a bit heavier than a boot without that stuff, not bad tho.But they appear as a fashion chelsea boot, akin to blundstones etc.If I was Ariat, I would ditch the name badge on the heal. It's bright, and ugly. Ruins the look of an otherwise great looking boot.I am giving them to my nephew, for torture testing. If they can survive that, they will survive anything.I will update.

Very comfortable
Can't believe these boots are so comfortable. They are bit on the heavy side, but you don't feel the weight while walking with them.
