Excellently made product. Well built and very sturdy. Packaged very well and arrived in great condition. Now the reason I did not give this product a 5 star review. Instead of using a high quality teak oil (for the premier price of this bench I cannot fathom why) the manufacturer uses a thick heavy linseed oil on the wood slats. The Linseed oil was applied very heavily with runs everywhere then packaged in airtight plastic bags before it was fully cured. Long story short what a sticky nasty mess when unpackaged. My contractor took one look and said, “You’ve got to be kidding me!” - he set his helper to work at carefully scrapping the excess gooey uncured linseed oil off then use clean lint free rags with turpentine to remove the sticky surface. Let dry completely - then reapplied a thin coat of high quality teak oil let it dry completely. Now I have a beautiful water proof dry to the touch non sticky bench in my shower. It looks and functions perfectly now.

While remodeling shower, we wanted to add "future" potential handicapped accessibility, while keeping a spa style appearance. After weeks of researching and comparing, I came across this seat. It's the perfect size, ADA compliant when installed properly and it comes in a chrome finish to match existing fixtures we didn't feel needed replacing. Honestly, this seat is indeed "spa" quality. The hinge feels strong and durable and the teak is thick and beautiful. Note: it will need oiled from time to time if you want to keep the natural color, but that is very minimal effort (it's a quality wood, not plastic). I would buy this seat again without question: finally, a product that lives up to it's description!

First of all, these can be very expensive. I looked at many to determine style, size, color and comfort. I am very happy that I purchased this one specifically for it's size and the look is really nice. Wood turned out darker than most teaks but I like it and would wholeheartedly recommend it to others. It's very sturdy and was thrilled that I got a bigger, better one from anywhere for less than I expected to pay. One of the best bathroom retrofit purchases yet.

This is the ultimate seat as far as I'm concerned. Got the 26 inch wide version and it is great. Make sure you wall is beefed up to support such a seat. New shower rebuild and needed a seat. Fold up is the best for all practical purposes. When you don't need it, it is out of the way. It is not cheap but if you want something solid, you need to spend a few extra dollars. Completely happy with the outcome!

Awesome product. I had a problem with one of the planks being cracked, and rather than just return it to Amazon I contacted the manufacturer. Within a day they had shipped a replacement plank, and it was perfect. Great customer service.

This folding shower seat works well, and was easy to install. I treated the woodwith a light coat of linseed oil prior to installation and will reapply every 6months as recommended.Very sturdy, looks great and most importantly ADA compliant.

Great seat, well made for steam shower. 4 stars is because hardware and instructions were not included. They were promptly sent when I contacted seller through Amazon.

My seat is the chromed stainless steel model. It is gorgeous the way that the teak stands out from the chromed frame. It's a very attractive addition to my shower.
