Kinkajou Bottle Cutter-Cherry Red

Good product! The directions don’t work every time to crack the bottle I would do it 20 times over with boiling hot water and ice cold water and nothing would happen. But after heating it up over a flame and then dipping it into a bucket of cool water it seemed to work every time!

I am a woman with small and slightly arthritic hands, and this cutter is rather difficult for me to use. It is hard to get it set just right, and it's easy for the bottle to torque while you are trying to turn it, wasting many otherwise good bottles. It is hard to adjust, and it has to be adjusted for each and every bottle, which is time consuming, and then to have the cuts not meet is frustrating. I wish I had spent an extra $50 and bought the more expensive cutter that allows you to just lay the bottle on it and rotate. I'll end up doing that anyway.This is a very well-made tool, and probably good for someone with large, strong hands, but it you have lots of bottles to cut I'd recommend a different tool.

Does what it says. A little challenging to get a perfect score around bottles that are not very round ( as you will find with a lot of wine bottles ).I was able to cut 3 out of 5 bottles the first time I used it and the finished edge after a little sanding is pretty good.

I gave the kinkajou a 3 rating because i'm still having problems with it. For the price I was hoping for better results with cutting the bottles. It's a bit awkward to handle for someone with small hands ( like a woman)? I have trouble holding it still then my lines get off. Also, I had only cut two bottles the first day I got it and the blue rings broke. Before they broke I noticed when stretched they looked like they had maybe had air bubbles in them. I sent an email immediately and got a response saying they were out of rings and I would be contacted as soon as a shipment came in. I never got another email about them.

A decent bottle cutter at a decent price. It does take some practice to "lock down" the cutter on a bottle so that it is level. That said, the cutter allows for deep, precise scoring of the glass which result in less rejects.

I have only used it 2x liked it need to use it more. Used it on a slanted bottle, have to refine my technique. Like the sturdiness when I used it on a straight bottle. so far so good.

Still trying to get used to it. But glad I made the purchase

I gave this a 3 star rating because I mean, structurally it's solid. It's just a little difficult to use. I've went through about 50 bottles here an there an I've only had 3 or 4 good ones.But that's okay, because I was going to throw away the said bottles anyways.
