I discovered this sun shield aka visor hat cap when I was seeking sun protection for my entire face once I had surgery. Since I’m outside quite often, sunblock that often mixes with sweat burnIng my eyes and wearing off over time wasn’t going to cut it. I saw this product and thought, hey why not? Never could I have anticipated it would be THIS INCREDIBLE and one of the best items I have ever purchased!!! Even after healing, I now wear it every time I’m in the sun whether its for a gathering, laying out for some color, gardening or even mowing the lawn. It’s essentially one large sunglass for your entire face without the hassle of sunglasses sliding around constantly. And...The BEST part about this sun shield visor cap hat is (something I was not expecting) how it keeps your whole face and ultimately your entire body temperature COOLER because your face is no longer roasting in the sun! FANTASTIC!An entire tinted lense with the visibility of traditional sunglasses, offers adjustable mechanisms for locking in place, a comfy adjustable velcro band and a black frosted smudge guard at the tip of the shield to ward off fingerprints. SUPER easy to clean and never scratched even after weeks of serious yard work/gardening. I’ve received sooo many compliments from strangers out and about during this pandemic that I’ve shared the product link countless times . Even though I am petite, whenever my family members tried it on, the lense part remained long and wide enough to block a cough or sneeze like face armor.During these trying times of mask requirements, it looks very trendy without looking or feeling bulky and ridiculous. I use this visor on my way to the office located at Downtown. 1) I like that it helps protect my face from the sun in The climate of Florida. It’s protection enables me to fight acne. 2) This visor helps me feel protected from Covid 19. Many people walking in the streets do not have their masks on. Some may be talking on the phone, and some May even be screaming like a crazy person. 3) I discovered that some people get a little bit intimated because of the visor and that, sincerely, makes me feel a little bit safer in times when rioters are out of control. Some other individuals, all ages, do like my visor and give me thumbs up on the streets. I use it every time I get out of the house during the day. If you use it like me, be aware you will get people’s attention.The visor is comfortable and soft on your head. However, when I wear it for too long it gives me “artificial” headache because the strap is pressing on my forehead. When I take it off, my head relaxes after 10 mins. It doesn’t bother me much because I like the job it does as explained above. Anyways, you can adjust the strap on the back. I haven’t taken it out yet, but I like that I can separate the visor from the strap and clean it off. I am satisfied with this purchase. I give recommendation to purchase it from people who ask me about it.

Wanted a way to protect face from the sun for a long period of time (6+ hours)Wearer: FemalePro:Good quality sturdy construction.Easy to adjust the visor up and down.Easy to adjust the head band.Comes with neck string attachment to visor. Did not use since visor is heavy enough not to be blown away like a hat.Do not need to peel any plastic film from visor because there isn’t any film on visor. Comes with a fabric covering to visor which is more protective and easily reuse.Pretty clear view like having sun glasses most of the time.Do not feel the heat from the sun when have it on. So no burns even without applying suntan lotion but not sure if that prevents one from getting a tan or not.Excellent response from company with requests. Appreciate that.Con:Not able to put a hat/cap on top of visor to give more cover. Might be most visor will have similar issue.The engraving is sometimes distracting and seems to have some sun flares at certain angles so not totally clear view when that happens.Overall thoughts:Construction quality is top notch though best not to wear for long period of time due to being too heavy for me.It really protects the entire face well.

ADDENDUM: I recently spent two weeks between California and Hawaii. I wore the visor outdoors the entire time. Didn’t get any suntan at all, on my face, so I do believe the product works. You *do* have to be strong of heart to wear it, though. I had people stop dead in their tracks and smile incredulously at me as I walked past them. I had people politely pass me by and then giggle at me, murmuring their questions and thoughts about my get-up. And I had one person politely pass me by and then vent aloud “why the F*** did you even come to Hawaii??!!” Some people, like store owners, simply asked me straight-out what I was wearing. I admit, it looks like I just got off a motor cycle, or like I’m a Power Ranger, or the child of Darth Vader. I don’t care. It was worth the trouble because my skin needed the protection. Who knows? I might’ve just started a trend. In a few years from now, we might *all* be wearing these against the sun!PS — the above was written in the fall of 2019. It is now May of 2020 and Covid-19 is lurking about. What a great thing to own, as protection from the public, when I walk around my neighborhood now. I got the last laugh!

I love how sturdy this is. Very well-made and it comes with a soft cover for scratch protection. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too tight, even when the adjustable Velcro strap is pulled to the very max. I’ll either exchange it or see if I have some extra Velcro strips.
