Special fan
This is a very special fan with striking red lacquer bamboo ribbing. I chose the gold version and the finish is rich and consistent overall. I consider the quality of this item to be very good. I hope to purchase another one soon.As can be seen in the product picture, it is larger than most fans for purchase in the Amazon merchandise fan selection. This fan is a performance fan as well as a fan that can be used to cool you on a hot day.

Nice large red fan with flowers
Large size fan was looking for. Only wish fan fabric was "firmer" so "crisper" open/close of fan. Beautiful fan.

Does not open and close smoothly
The fan is pretty, so should be sold as a decoration. It cannot be used for tai chi as it does not open and close. I’m not a fabric expert, but this seems more like a stiff synthetic than silk. If you want something pretty to hang on a wall, it’s fine. If you want a tai chi fan, order something else.

Needed for Tai Chi Red Fan class
The fan is a vibrant red, you need to open & close several times to get used to it. Fun to practice with & it comes with a storage bag.

Beware of this fan,,, read the description before buying
To the seller : You miss lead the potential buyers by writing silk fan on the top subject line, then on the description of this item,,,,,it say made of fabric. Also that little rivet that holds the sticks on the fan is too long, it sticks out hurting the fingers while holding the fan. Very sneaky sales tactic

Not silk, poor workmanship, opens closes poorly.
I thought I purchased, as per description, a silk bamboo fan for Kong Fu Tai chi fan practice. The material feels like thin plastic, it is poorly glued to the bamboo part and the fan doesn’t close well.The company responded promptly and courteously to my email, asked me if I could glue it and offered 12% refund. However, it never addressed the false advertisement of “..silk…”.I did not get what I thought I purchased based on the description. I would not recommend it for Kong fu Tai Chi fan dance use.

Larger than expected
Much bigger fan than I expected. I was looking for a purse sized fan. This is too big to fit in even a larger bag
