Needs updating, but it's the best that's out there right now.
Super helpful for me planning a trip, ultimately had this on my kindle and did the Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp, and also did the Everest Three Passes from Jiri. This book was very helpful to plan times with while along the way. It was written pre-earthquake, but I found where the author said, "there may not be anything available," there was usually heaps available (at least as far as things weren't overly destroyed by the earthquakes on the aforementioned treks I did... other treks, I don't know...) Also for Annapurna Circuit, this book kinda pushes for you to bus back from Jomson/Muktinath, but IMO, the best trekking is on the west side of the circuit, you can virtually hike on the trail the entire time, unlike the eastern half of the circuit which is now a lot of road hiking, with no alternate trail to hike on. The towns are hurting for tourists on the eastern side as well. Soon enough, Annapurna Circuit will be a drive/motorcycle trip because there is road along virtually the entire loop except right around the pass.

Good on practicalities
I had this for an EBC hike earlier this year - granted I cut the pages out to save weight - but its as just hat I needed. Succinct and pertinent. Could have bought it in Kathmandu as well. I can imagine where I might not need it (weight) but for someone hiking in Nepal the first time this was very good.

Great reference on Trekking in Nepal
Am using this to plan a hike in Nepal. Seems loaded with info and very detailed on individual trails. I will certainly consult others also but this seems great to get started learning about Nepal trekking.

An excellent guide to use while trekking in Nepal
An excellent guide to use while trekking in Nepal. We used this book and did our whole trip without a guide. When we had a question, we just pulled the book out of the backpack and read for a few minutes!

A must read for the Nepal Himalaya Traveller
Brilliant book.I bought this book in preparation for my trek to Everest Base Camp. It has a wealth of useful information about Nepal/Himalaya ,culture, treks, things you must see and do. Well written, great pictures and a great read. Good to use as a reference book too.

Quality book
Very good quality book as I would like to complete the Everest base camp trek in the coming years and this book gives you a whole route, estimated times for each section and different sites to see along the way. I understand myself and many other people will probably be doing this track on a guided Sherpa but it is still nice to have the book and see what there is when you get there

Not really updated after the earthquake as suggested.
Not really updated after the earthquake as suggested. It just has coveralls such as "Bus times may be effected by the earthquake"
