BMW, Range Rover Instrument Cluster Ribbon Cable for Pixel Repair

I'd call this a neutral review. It works, it does what it's supposed to, if you can do a perfect install and maybe shim it a bit. It does not have prepunched holes, which IMO is a big deal. Trying to cut them out with an Exacto knife is difficult. And as the factory one, it's super thin, too thin, a little thicker would have made a better product. Did it work on my E39? Yes. But I think a better product, thicker with prepunched holes would work better and be easier to install. Trying to get all the pixels lit I ended up damaging it, my fault to be sure, and the next one I bought was prepunched off ebay. Still too thin, but I guess it's just what it is.

Doesn't work for me.

When I removed the paper backing from the ribbon it pealed off some of the contacts. This ruined the ribbon's functionality and required a return. Perhaps heating the paper backing with a heat fun for a few seconds would help avoid this.

Didn't work. Made pixels even worse. Ribbon packaging wasn't sealed all the way, and the paper-backing was all water warped.
