Time saving.

These axles were a key factor in my kids winning 1st and 2nd place in their first pine wood derby. Deburring and polishing nails is a lot of work and these made the car run great and reduced friction. Great time saver!

These need slots in the heads to use to turn the axles and give a proper alignment. I'm not yet convinced these offered any advantage on our car.

These are just fine out of the package if you want a car to be competitive. We used these as a starting point and then micro-polished them to a much finer finish. Helped my son's car be very competitive against much more expensive, CNC cut, factory tuned and balanced cars.

Perfect for pinewood derby

The axle is so much smaller than the official axle that the wheels wobble so much and lose speed. Total crap!

I ran these in a "no-rules" race my kiddo was doing with her youth group. Three of the four worked well, but the fourth axle kept having issues. The wheel would shift away from the nail head and sort-of 'click' which made it not spin well at all. The wheel had to be pulled back toward the axle end after each race to make it spin freely again. Overall, I just don't know that they were worth the cost over a standard set of polished axles.

I wish it had a screwdriver slot in the end of the head of the nail so you could adjust it to get the turn out of it
