Impressive product and performance
This is a nicely-made unit. More compact than I expected---which is nice for reducing windshield clutter.Well-designed. It comes with a surprising bunch of accessories, including adhesive- and suction-cup windshield mounts; a 8GB microSD card; cigarette lighter power adapter with a lengthy cord; a USB adapter to read the microSD card on your PC; aux power cord; even audio-out earplugs! Nice! For as nicely appointed as this camera is, I am puzzled by how brief and poorly written in Taiwanese-English the instructions are. For as brilliantly-designed as this device is, you'd think they'd hire somebody to write better instructions. My kit came with a blank software CD. Yikes---again making you wonder about an otherwise impressive kit. But I contacted their tech support (US distributor---this is a Taiwanese product) via email and received a very rapid reply (on a weekend!!!). US tech support via the distributor was excellent. I was given a special link to download the software that is not available from the product website or by Googling the product. Again, a little bit elusive access to the software, given a dead CD, which makes you wonder a bit about the whole Vacron product development chain. If they made the instructions and software availability/support a bit more western-professional you'd never have any doubt about this product. But don't let this minor issue stop you from buying this item for its performance virtues. The PC software for accessing the videos on the MicroSD card is pretty good-----once you figure it out (again, inadequate instructions IMHO). Lots of single-click operations and intuitive steps to do what you'd want in reviewing the video files and establishing formats/settings. What's impressive is the synchronization of front and rear camera views, GPS positioning, vehicle speed, and clock time---all in the same screen. It's excellent if you want evidence of everything going on around the car and its exact location, speed and time relative to when the video was shot. You can export what you see on the software screen to an .avi file if you want. I was flabbergasted to experience the accuracy of the GPS map relative to vehicle position. This camera and its synch data can provide damning evidence of your whole vehicle's situation relative to the video! I find it makes me more diligent about my driving, and I don't pick my nose while driving anymore because of the rear-facing camera! HahahaThe breadth of forward view is just about right---as is the rear view camera (rear view is very wide-angle fisheye). Position the camera carefully on your windshield, and it can capture the driver and anybody at the driver's door (aka cop). You really can't capture much rearview detail beyond five feet, but I'm not sure why anybody would want this, under the circumstances. You really can't see much other than headlights at night or a general outline of a vehicle through the rear glass. But it's not really an issue because the rear view camera is very wide angle, and you can see a car pass through side windows...then it appears in the front camera as it passes you. Good multi-view video continuity if you need evidence of passes from behind.I carefully read the online reviews before purchasing. A reviewer complained that it can't read license plates. The resolution and shake/vibration/stability is just fine, and the image is the same as your naked eye. If the license plate is close enough, you can read it on video. More than a few car lengths, your naked eye can't read it either. Some advice on positioning the camera on the windshield: be sure to place it in a location cleared by windshield wipers. My strong advice is to first use the suction-cup bracket to try several windshield locations--then review the video results before using the "permanent" adhesive mount. Modern cars have a lot of garbage (including EZPass etc) in the center of your windshield near the rearview mirror. I found locating the camera near the rearview mirror brought too many objects into the front-and-rear camera views---and it also makes it difficult to hide the power cord. I ended up placing my camera at the top left of the windshield, in the driver's side upper corner where your service station typically places the oil change sticker. This also gives the driver immediate access to the unit and reminds me I'm "on camera." It's also great positioning if you want to capture a traffic officer at your driver's-side window.Be sure to thoroughly clean the windshield inside and out around the camera to avoid visual aberrations. Raindrops and lots of tiny nicks/chips in an old windshield are going to degrade the video---especially when driving into the sun or in winter seasons when the sun is low in the sky.By the way, the audio is pretty good: It captures the car radio and yourself mumbling- and cussing- traffic, yet you don't get much motor humming or car noise. All-in-all, the audio is very useful and audible. This has been so impressive so far I'm considering buying another unit or my other car.

Does not last long, camera will fail
This camera is great initially, but sadly it does not last!! See the other reviews, customers have had the same problem. The front camera on my unit (most important one) has decided to stop working. My videos are now black. The inside / rear camera still works, but thats it. Not acceptable for a $200 camera, mine lasted about 18 months. I would expect at least 4-5 years out of this at the price point... Can't afford to be throwing out $200 every year. If they could make this camera reliable, i would give it a 5 star rating. The GPS is great, both inside and outside recording really helpful. Powers on quickly, records well etc etc. Just didn't last. It has a 1 year warranty, but i've heard the company is not worth trying to deal with (Plus im outside of the warranty period).

This camera does it all and then some. I have nothing negative to report.
This dual camera is excellent. It is excellent day and night. Wide camera angle from it's deceiving little lens. (it's so wide you see both you and your passenger plus whoever is in the middle in the backseat. It has gps to track your movement, speed, voice recording etc. (all that you can turn off) The audio/voice recording is excellent, no static everything is recorded like you're in a studio making an album. This is excellent to have just in case the impossible happens car accident. Also evidence to show courts for that traffic ticket.

Great Camera For A Great Price!
I have 6 of these in a small fleet of trucks. Some Fuho, some Vacron (both the same just different names on them) the key to success on these is to make sure you use a fast class 10 micro SD card. If you don't you might get a choppy recording and sound. I hard wired an extra 12v cig pigtail under the dash to a ignition switched powersource so it turns on/off with the key. I ran all the wires through the Piller so they are out of site out of mind. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone. I do have the G-sensors turned off because other wise they fill the card up fast and won't record over them.

Very good basic dashcam
Took me awhile to get used to this dashcam but it was worth it. I use it with a 32gb memory card and get about 8 hours of recording before it begins to overwrite the older files. Once you get the settings to your preference it is a hands off operation. Not having a viewing screen is a bit of a detraction - have to use another device to view the recording. Then again that makes it legal in those states that have laws against any display device in front of the driver. The video resolution of both forward and rearward cameras is great but the audio recording level is very low. I find It is almost impossible to hear recorded normal conversations. I recommend this device as a basic dashcam.

This is a fairly solid unit, My only complaint: With the forward facing camera, the night video quality is poor. I can barely see the road on the recorded video. If street lights are available then the quality is fair, but in an un lit area my auto's headlights hardly show the road in the recording. It needs a brightness/contrast setting. It's kind of a stretch to call it a "Night Vision" camera. The rear facing camera is okay at night.Daytime function is high quality video. The instructions are roughly translated from Chinese, but I figured them out. I installed it and turned on the power and it started recording, play back was easy as well.

Had it for over a year. Does not distract you, in fact you forget its even there. Med-low maintenance to delete files that got recorded becouse of a pot hole. Quality is good, it will get you the plate of a car and a voice recording. Im sure something better came on the market by now, but if you thinking about this one, get it. You will not regreat your decision. The software that came with it, could be better. You will be able to export the video @ audio to your computer, just not the speed limit;)
