best gift ever
I got the sfor my hubby who is just getting into leather making and he was having a hard time finding a stamp he liked of this products. He literally doesn't pu tit down its the perfect size and its amazing quality. Wife score!!!!!

Good option if you don't want to get a custom stamp
This stamp is designed for cased (properly dampened) vegetable tanned leather. Use a hefty handle and 16 ounce or heavier maul or poly/rubber head mallet to stamp this on a solid surface, such as a granite tooling surface, that dies not flex. I use this to stamp onto my handcrafted projects. Then I use a soldering iron (wood burner works too) with a fine tip and burn in my name/initials in the blank space. Until I get a custom stamp someday, this is fine.

Shallow
It is extremely shallow, I can't get a good impression. It would be nice if there was at least a 1/8 of an inch depth inside. It would be better as a frame instead of the big flat in the middle.
