SO mush easier and more interesting to cut your pottery off the batt then using the straight wire.

Durable, comfortable, excellent wore cutting tool
Wonderful wire cutter, great comfortable handle. Xiem usually makes very durable clay tools, I only bought this as a replacement for the same wire tool that lasted for several years of use. I only wish is for the wire to be a bit longer, but it still works well when cutting clay from the bag or removing a vase from a 13" inch wheel head. Worth the extra money for a durable tool.

Odd crinkly wire tool
This odd crinckly wire tool seems to be getting the job done. I have not yet used it a lot,but handles are nice to hold onto and their high visibility is useful for locating the item at all times.
