Awesome Cajun Spice - PERFECT HOTNESS
I love this spice from Tones! Couldn't find it at my local retail grocery stores, thankfully Amazon has it! I ran out of this Cajun spice, after using it on fish regularly. It's good to note that the Cajun does NOT have salt added, which allows you to use as much as you want of the spice, without salty overkill. I like my fish super spicy, so it is made perfect for this.My awesome fish recipe? Use this for any kind of fish...-- In a non-stick pan, I pour in Olive Oil, enough so that it spreads the entire width of the pan.-- I fill the pan with strips of thawed fish.-- I put on a layer of Redmond's Real Salt (http://www.amazon.com/Real-Salt-Shaker-Realsalt/dp/B000E6BRUW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1404948609&sr=8-3&keywords=real+salt)-- Then I put on a fairly thick dusting of the Tones Cajun spice.-- Lastly, I add a little black pepper over the top of the Cajun, to give it more kick.-- I cover the pan with it's lid, and cook at medium temp until the fish is browned on the bottom side (about 15 min)-- I flip the fish, and cook the other side at same temp, for approx 10-15 min, until dark brown and crispy.-- EAT!!! It is SUPER TASTY!

Cajun Seasoning
We like it, but I guess I've got to say a bit more than that. Our favorite use for this is fish, believe it or not. Baked fish at that. Seems to take over that fishy taste you sometimes get from fillets carved just a little too close to the skin and gives it a great taste every time without being over powering. We also use it on burgers and chicken, instead of salt and it is just great. The only drawback is the size of the container. Its really large and will last us easily more than a year, but at the price, its still a bargain.

Just the right amount of kick. Great flavor and not too salty!

A must have ingredient for many dishes and boiled peanuts!
I really love spicy dishes and use this in much of my cooking. This is the "secret" in my cooking that my family doesn't know about! Well, this and Old Bay. I use this in eggs for breakfast, to Sunday's roast, to making Cajun boiled peanuts. Seriously, it is that good and can be used in a wide variety of dishes. Use just a hint of it in your scrambled eggs, to a heavier coating on your Rib-eye, to your pasta sauce (white or red). Be creative!

I love the flavor!
I discovered this product by asking what my favorite restaurant used in its Cajun Chicken sandwich. I love the flavor on rice dishes, jambalaya, and even grilled cheese sandwiches.

Nice variety of spices
Tones Cajun Seasoning contains a nice variety of spices but it seems I have to add a lot of it to be noticeable. As for others who say it's too hot must not be used to spice, as I barely notice any heat. It is a multi-purpose seasoning and is useful on many foods, and another plus is that it is relatively low on sodium.

The best I've found
I bought the 22 oz Tones twice before I bought the Durkee (which appears to be unavailable now), and found the Durkee lacking in flavor but with bigger un-flavorful crystals. I like spicy seasoning and this one is the best. Years ago, this was my first intro into a seasoning that could stand on it's own, time after time with no other additions. I add to it now, but if you are looking for a great way to easily improve the taste of your meals, you only need to use this seasoning.Large amounts for meat, chicken and seafood, but smaller amounts, trial and error, for other things. Popcorn - with pecorino romano cheese - it's practically a meal.
