WOW, learned so much thank you for helping me with my research. I've been doing for least six months this is third book I bought helping me make my decision, I am 60 years old, living in horrible chronic pain for past ten years, this is my last resort for help. I can't even walk anymore hardly, tried everything, nothing works and doctors just want to cut me open again and feel nothing will EVER WORK EXCEPT SURGERY. Well, surgery started this horrible ride. I pray daily, why am I still on this earth, I should just s t kill myself and make my suffering end. Can't do that to my boys, and grandkids, so I just scream in bathroom, cry all day , what a life. This lady's story fit in great with the kramton bible book from Amazon and info from internet past six months. thank you Mary, I am ordering from one of your suggested vendors tomorrow. To have the ability to smile for real because my pain is always a 9-10 scale 24/7, to get down maybe a five, a miracle. I will document daily, and mail to Mary my progress. Short, quick, and easy read. Relatable author describes her journey of discovery and subsequent use of Kratom.I strongly suggest reading this if you or a loved one knows little about this product (leaves from a SE Asian tree) and its use.

I liked that the author is just a regular person, with an open mind. Honestly describing her journey from pain and discomfort to relief and joy of life again.Anyone with doubts about kratom should read this. You’d be better informed afterward.

I watched a segment on Viceland about Kratom where the Scientist actually went to Tailand to do research on the Kratom trees. It seems that the trees are dwindling do to being cut down rather than just using their properties. I have been struggling with chronic back pain degenerative spine disease, bulging herniated discs, major depression, anxiety for years. They have me on so many medications that I can't remember things, it's so bad that I just lost my job of 3 yrs doing data-management. I want my life back, I want to be able to retain my memory & not be in pain anymore. No more MRI's, No more Medications. I can't wait to try

The book really is just her story and her opinions. While I understand that credible studies are lacking, I felt like more research should have been done. For example, there are some other ways to ingest or kratom. And, people mix it with all kinds of beverages, some even make treats with it.I read the book because I am interested in trying kratom for my chronic pain. I've been reading a lot on the internet and joined 2 social media groups. The group's have been the best places for me to learn and ask questions. The people in these groups are wonderful, caring and compassionate.Finally, I don't share her enthusiasm for having the FDA involved with kratom. There blessing will undoubtedly come with unwanted strings attached. Since its legal in the US, except in 3 states and a county in FL, researchers have plenty of access to it. Clinical data would go a long way to repealing the bans in those states and keep other states from imposing bans.

Thank you for explaining this is a way that my family can understand. I suffer from fibromyalgia and the opiates worked but only for short periods, then the pain got even worse. The stimulants helped the cronic fatigue but made the pain worse. Mitragyna Speciosa has solved so many problems for me and opened my eyes to the dangers most fda approved drugs carry. I feel whole again and am able to go for walks and enjoy life again. Well I still have to get the Cymbalta out of my system that they put me on and that is proving to be very difficult! Not because I'm mentally addicted to it but rather physically. When I lower the dose by as little as 5mg it makes me vomit and black out upon standing....... I'm disappointed in the fda for allowing Cymbalta on the market. To think, they give that stuff to CHILDREN! Makes me sick. Thanks again, God bless

Very Informative. Great resource for RLS sufferers seeking alternative treatment. Explains writer's path and experimentation well. Cites many sources and includes links to them. Helpful for anyone considering this as an alternative therapy.

RLS has always been a major issue with me and I also choose to use the herb. It has helped tremendously. I also have fibromyalgia and this is the only thing that gives me some type of energy. All the prescriptions I have tried have always made my fatigue worse and I couldn’t stand being so tired all the time. This is an informative book for those looking into therapy with kratom.
