Girl Saints for Little Ones (Little Ones Series)

Simply Beautiful book!
Nice size (about 8.5" x 8.5"), square-shaped paperback book. The cover depicts St. Cecilia. The book is arranged with the saint's name with a short biography and quote on the left side. The right side has a large, full-page, colorful illustration and a special symbol found in the painting of the saint. The 12 saints in the book are: St. Therese, St. Maria Goretti, St. Cecilia, St. Clare of Assisi, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Philomena, St. Gianna, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Brigid, St. Joan of Arc, St. Kateri, and St. Clotilde, For example the picture of St. Kateri mentions the green seeds which are in the background of the illustration. The back cover has a few words from the author. She says, "Girl Saints for Little Ones" includes twelve inspiring saints, complete with a short biography and quote. FIlled with vibrant illustrations and a simple text, this book is meant to inspire young girls to deepen their Catholic Faith. In addition, each illustration includes an explanation of a special symbol found in the painting, introducing children to enriching Catholic art. Your child will be excited to follow in the footsteps of these beautiful saints." In my opinion, the only thing that would make this book better is an index listing the twelve saints with the dates of their life, otherwise, very pleased with the purchase! Will be adding the rest of Kimberly Fries's books to my personal library.

This book will have your kids intrigued from beginning to end.
I bought this book for my great niece. I was hoping it would get her interested in learning more about the saints. We both loved it so much! Usually when we pick up a book about saints she gets bored but not with this book. The pictures are beautiful and the stories are short with just the right amount of information to keep her wanting to read it over and over. I canโt wait to order the other books the author has out. Donโt hesitate to order yours, you wonโt be sorry.

Truly inspiring!
Girl Saints for Little Ones is truly a master piece! For children, the illustrations are extremely vibrant and eye-catching. Sue Kouma Johnson's art work along with the simplicity of Kimberly Fries' words in giving a short story of each individual saints' life is true awe-inspiring not only for children but for adults as well. As a DRE, I purchased these books for my First Communicants. I will definitely purchase more books for my students. Thank you Kimberly and Sue! God bless you as you continue your ministry!

Beautiful Saint Book
Well done! Volume 1: This is a lovely book of female saints. I like how a picture, short description, and quote accompany each saint. I bought this one and volume two for a gift. My only qualm is that the cover is very thin, so it could bend easily.

We are a 7 year old boy & 5 year old girl. We like that thst this book has 3 queen/princess Saints. The quotes from the saints at the bottom are interesting. We also liked the information about the saint pictures. If you have a kid that likes Saints you should get this book!

Darling little book
I thought I already wrote a review, but not seeing it, so here goes again.I bought two of these books to put in two of my granddaughter's Easter baskets. And I loved them! The illustrations and text are very sweet yet informative. And I really liked how the author worked into each page, a little symbolism and explained it. Next I'll want to order her book on Boy Saints.
