Nice to find a silver bag that can fit our plates. Don't know why we're saving them but at least they will be in good shape when we pass them on to our kids who probably don't want them either.

Technically, I think this bag is for larger sterling silver pieces, such as flatware, small silver trays, etc. I use this bag for my silver jewelry pieces that I wish to lay flat rather, than hanging. I have different sizes of these bags to fit various jewelry pieces. This bag in particular is large enough to fit more than one necklace, although I worry about tangling or scratching, so I only keep one necklace and the matching earrings in it.This bag is really nothing more than anti tarnish cloth you can buy in bulk from a fabric or jeweler and wrap your pieces in, probably for much less than this bag. However, I like the convenience of Amazon and a zippered bag (full disclosure: I am far too lazy to hoof it to find this fabric somewhere across town). If you aren't lazy like me, the cost of buying this fabric on your own may beat the price here.Overall, the product works perfect for my purposes. I spend less time polishing my silver and more time wearing my jewelry. The convenience of being able to grab a piece of jewelry, slap it on and go to work means I wear and enjoy my jewelry more.

These are great. We got a number of different sizes to hold all our silver (We were married in 1969, sterling silver seemed to be the go to gift from our parents’ friends plus we’ve inherited more as they passed away. If you’ve got it, use it.) Once polished put silver in these so it won’t tarnish and use it more often. These are a nice heavy weight and the zipper closing is really nice.

Love these Hagerty bags. Great protection for silver! This size will take care of tea pots or coffee pots or medium trays. If silver is polished when it goes into a bag it will need little or no polishing when you take it out again. I highly recommend these bags in all sizes. The zippers are excellent quality and I have had some for many years and they are as great now as when I first bought them.

I bought two of these since the description said the bags would hold a sugar bowl and/or creamer from a silver service - which is exactly what I needed them for. But I couldn't get either in one of these bags - the opening was too small to get the entire piece in, much less being able to zip closed. My sugar and creamer bowls do have 4 small feet, which is what prevented them from fitting, but many silver service sets have these. So, these small bags may work if there are no feet or appendages (even the handles wouldn't allow the to fit). I had to return them and get the next larger size...which was large enough to hold both items.

I've used a Hagerty cloth flatware box for my sterling for years so that I need to polish very seldom. This bag fits over a sectioned plastic container for silver earrings and other small jewelry. I'll probably get another to pack the sterling Xmas tree bells so that I don't have to polish them much. (This works better than wrapping in plastic wrap.)

You cannot beat the Hagerty line of products. My mother used them, and my father used them, as did my grandmother. I've tried a number of other products and go back to Hagertys' line every time. I use the cloth (for this review), the sprayand gloves, the polishing lotion, and the "keep-your-silverware-nice-and-polished-white strips."Highly recommend. I'm sure my folks in heaven are polishing all the silver up there with Hagertys. Amen.

At least once a year, I have an English tea party for family and friends, but I hate polishing my silverware. I've been buying silver trays, dishes, etc...at estate sales, thrift shops, and yard sales for a couple of years now. I love finding something that looks horrible and polishing it up to its original beauty. What I don't like is having to repolish everything right before my tea! I didn't think this bag would work, so I tested it. I polished everything two months before my Mardi Gras tea. A few days before my tea, I opened the bag and took everything out (I had individually wrapped everything in cloth so the surfaces wouldn't get scratched) and I couldn't believe it! No black spots on anything. All I had to do was wash everything to a sparkling shine and my tea table looked beautiful! After my tea party I ended up buying a smaller bag for two of my silver sugar bowls!

I've used Hagerty products on sterling and plateware every since I was old enough to hold a polishing cloth. (Thanks mom.) She left me the Sterling (Thanks again, Mom). I wanted bags to replace the 30-40 year old Hagerty silver bags the silver was still stored in when it came to me. They had given service decades beyond what they were designed for and they were falling apart. The number of Hagerty flatware bags I would have needed to purchase would have required a second mortgage so I purchased two of these bags. They will fit in my safe and they are big enough for multiple pieces. I know these bags were intended for trays, gravy boats etc., and not to contain flatware. That being acknowledged, the fabric is considerably less thick and definitely less stable then the old bags they were replacing, even with the years of use the old bags had on them.If you are going to buy these for flatware storage or to store any silver piece with a sharp edge, I would count on putting some type of cloth bag over the Hagerty bag. I doubt any product with the Hagerty name would fail to get your silver clean and/or keep it that way but the material is Meh.

I'm keeping 2 silver goblets in this Hagerty bag. It's very soft but sturdy material and I'm confident that a Hagerty product will save me a lot of polishing work. All silver tarnishes unless you protect it somehow and this is one of the best ways.

Wonderful product. I am very happy with it. I think the zipper is really helpful as it does not let any air in.

No good. Things tarnish much more quickly than putting them in plastic garbage bags with no air. Wish I could get a refund. It seems to speed up and not regard tarnish!

Great size and thicker than the slimmer bags. Good price and fast shipping.
