Don't break a tooth!
I was down in Atlanta visiting my sister and stumbled across a package of these in the local deli of an office building. I took them home to VA with me and showed them to my office coworkers. The office loved the idea so we bought the assorted pack to get to try all of the varieties.I should have tried popping the first package before ordering. Don't get me wrong. These are darn tasty and for the most part pop up very well. But there were some duds that didn't fully puff up or didn't puff up at all. And if you bit down one one of those things... you are going to have a tooth jarring experience. Word to the wise... stick to the fully puffed ones and let the rest go to waste. We tried all of the flavors and they were great. But then the office was crazy for Pork Rinds and so we ordered a case of the pre-puffed ones. Didn't want to increase the dental costs for the company.

Delicious Pork rinds - great flavors!
I was pleasantly surprised that these puff up nicely and evenly. The bags are resealable pouches so you can make a small handful or up to 8 cups (the entire pouch). Pour as much as you want onto a plate and mircowave, it is pretty easy to see & determine when they are fully puffed and ready to serve. They are made with natural ingredients (and gluten-free).I wish they sold a smaller variety pack, or just single packs. If you really like one flavor, or you only want to spend a little money to try these, you are still stuck buying the 6 pack. At first glance the 6 pack is more expensive than Lawry's, but these actually contain more rinds and more will actually puff for you to eat.Compared to the best-selling Lawry's Microwave Pork Rinds, these have better flavor, more variety of flavors, puff up better, and taste better. Lawry's are individually sealed bags, like microwave popcorn. Sometimes I do not want an entire bag just for me, and if I am sharing then I have to make multiple bags (one at a time). There are always a small pile of uncooked/un-puffed rinds at the bottom of the bag. Lawry's over-seasons with crap, and contain MSG. After trying Chef Piggy Tail, I will not buy Lawry's again.Overall, Chef Piggy Pork Rinds are a good value for the money. I will buy these again.

Just Ok, wanted them to be better
We were so looking forward to these being good. And thought we would try the sample pack to try the different flavors. The nicest part is the bags are resealable so you don’t have to use all the pellets. The bad part is, they didn’t puff up for us. I microwaved them for 10 minutes and one or two would puff. Most just stayed as hard pellets. I did try the air fryer and I got better results on puffing, but they were a little rubbery that way.Note: follow the directions, when it says use a paper plate, you should use a paper plate.

The good, the bad and the porky
Overall the flavor is great, I love pork rinds, but the pre-puffed ones always have a rancid flavor to them. These have a great flavor, no rancidity, and are hot and fresh! My only complaint would be that I have a 1200w microwave and the first batch I cooked started burning after 2 mins in the microwave. I think for higher powered microwaves you should start at 1:30 and adjust from there. My other issue was when I opened the package; one of the packages had ruptured / leaked during transport. I will be contacting Julia's to see about getting a replacement.

nothing like fresh crackling still popping and snapping
4 Stars just because a lot of the flavor doesn't stay on through the puffing process, making the different flavors hard to differentiate. Having said that, nothing like fresh crackling still popping and snapping. In addition to the microwave, these work great in an air fryer.

Product is great!
I really enjoy these pork rinds, I just wish I had done a little more research. The assortment pack is very expensive, per ounce. I wanted to taste all the different flavors, so I went for it without shopping around. The pork rinds are so delicious though, I will definitely be buying more. I will stick to the larger bags from now, they are a much better value.

Hubby and son love these!
Personally, you couldn't pay me to eat these (in any form, from anybody), but hubby and son love them. When I first told hubby I had ordered him some microwave pig skins he said that sounded horrible. "You don't microwave them, you fry them!" Well, they arrived and I put about 1/8 cup of them on a plate, nuked them and took them in to his office. He loves them! (But he hates being wrong...LOL)I will be ordering more before the package is empty!

Avoid these
Do not buy these. I love microwave pork rinds and these suck. They pop up as if they are old. (Most don't expand). And hence are hard and not very pleasant. Also, the different flavors all taste very similar. There is only a hint of seasoning on these. I buy Lowrey's microwave rinds and they are so much better. I was attracted to these because they have the variety of flavors.. but it was a waste. Go with Lowrey's.
