First problem, waist band is a tiny elastic cord- which cuts into too. Much thicker material than expected, since it is shorts you would think it would be for warmer weather. Very bulkyTrying to return and having trouble doing so. They only want to give part refund.

Update: I ordered this pair which has an overall pattern and black stripe down the sides. I like them, but not quite as much as the pair I reviewed below (which was mostly black with a gray stripe on each side). The differences on this pair are: #1 the material is slightly thinner, #2 the fit is slightly looser, and #3 the length is a bit shorter. These differences aren't huge and the shorts are comfortable but I'll go back to the other style on my next pair.I am really happy with these shorts! I was looking for a length as close to my knee as I could get, (not over the knee like tights or way above the knee) which is very hard to find. I work out a lot, but I'm older, and the saggy skin I have above the knee is not super attractive! I studied the reviews carefully about sizing and decided to go for a medium, although I usually wear a small. I'm 5'6", 123 pounds. I figured worst case they might be a little loose but if too small it might not be comfortable if they were pinching at the knee. When I first took them out of the bag I was a little concerned because they looked small in length and size, but when I put them on they were fantastic! The length is perfect and the fit is great. I could have probably fit in a small but the medium feels comfortable and is not baggy at all. These fit like workout tights/leggings. The small might have pinched at the waist so I think I made the right choice. The elastic band in the waist is probably a little over an inch wide but after multiple wearings it didn't twist or flip over. I got the black color with the wide gray stripe on the side. The stripe is solid down the left side, and on the right side it is "interrupted" by the pocket, which is a cute design. It has a pocket with velcro closure on the right side. I have a large phone (Samsung Note 8) and it just barely fits and closes, but the pocket is deep enough that if I didn't close the velcro it would be okay (as long as you're walking and not working out). I saw some people's reviews wishing for a second pocket but that doesn't matter to me. While working out at home I don't even need one pocket but it will come in handy whenever I go back to the gym after the pandemic. I would actually wear these in public which says a lot because I'm pretty conservative. The material is stretchy and pretty thick, definitely not see-through when bending over, and they do not ride up when I'm working out doing cardio, using weights, or on my spin bike. I will definitely be ordering more of these.

I’m 5’6” and these come close to my knee which is just what I was hoping for. I weigh 141 but didn’t want them skin tight so I purchased a size L. I love that they have a pocket for my phone. They are perfect!

I really like these shorts. They're not too short, and they have pockets for your phone or other things you take to the gym. Very well made. I originally ordered a medium, but decided to go with a large. The medium did fit, but I liked the way the large fit better. This is just my taste. Someone else might have liked the medium fit. I usually wear L size shorts. After reading other reviews I decided to get the XL and the fit perfectly. I like the fabric and how is made. I’ll buy again

These workout shorts fit a little small. I would order on the larger size. They fit above the knees; as advertised. They don’t ride up are slobber down. There is a handy pocket on the right leg that allows a hotel key or phone etc. It also comes with a handy flap with Velcro but not sure how long the Velcro last.It did develop a small hole already but they provide a free and relatively painless return.

I love the length, thickness of material, and of course the pockets! The elastic inside the waist band seems narrower than some Neonysweets leggings I own. And it fits overall very snugly, with the 8% spandex feeling almost like a not-super-tight girdle, like compression shorts. I am considering sending them back. If they came in a XXL or even XXXL, I'd send them back for an exchange so they'd feel looser. They aren't uncomfortable however. They don't feel like cotton. I'm still deciding what to do, since I already have 2 pairs nearly identical to these. If not for that I'd keep them for sure. The brand says Neonysweets, rather than Zinmore, and I usually love Neonysweets.

I’m a size 10 and chose XL. That worked fine. It’s fitted without being too tight. I think size 12s could do XL, too. It works for trail running and is right for the money. Unique pattern.
