Blue Guide Lazio (including Rome) - Blue Guide Chapter Kindle Edition

The Blue Guides (the series is nearly 100 years old) are fantastic if you are interested in an in-depth guide to the history, art and architecture of a place. These are not so much about how to organize your time on vacation.

I thought this would be helpful to learn from for my trip tp Rome. Maybe I am just not as happy reading on my kindle. I never made it through this because it was really dry and boring reading. I would look to something else before this for information on Rome.

This is a good inexpensive guide (less than 4 pounds when I bought it) to Rome. Covered the things I wanted to see. As ever with a small device, the maps didn't show up well on my 7" tablet. I also got the impression that there was more detail in the full book form Rome guide from the same company, but the copy I was looking at was old, so it may simply have changed over time.
