So easy! Must buy
Easiest light kit installation EVER!! Minka sure knows how to make it easy! Love that the light is LED and is all enclosed so dust doesn't accumulate inside and look gross. SO glad we bought these light kits to add to our Simple fans!

Wish it dimmed more
Works well with the fan, only draw back for us is it doesn't dim low enough and the LED light is quite bright

Bright little light
At first it looked a little small, but it gives pleanty of light on my covered patio with my H2O Minka-Aire 65" Ceiling Fan

Not glass!
Even though all the descriptions say this product is "etched white glass," not true. The light cover is actually plastic. I even called Minka Aire customer service to ask about it and the representative basically read from the description sheet, restating that it was "etched white glass." At any rate, if you're okay with a plastic cover with a small hole in the middle for your light cover then this product will probably work for you.

Way overpriced for what you get!
This was easy to install and works well. But for $80 there is zero reason this is not dimmable (it has a hi and low brightness setting which aren't very different looking) and it should also have the ability to select the color temperature of the light like almost all other led lights do now. All it would need is a small selector switch inside that you set before installing to do that and which my $14 Halo recessed lights can do that. Again it looks nice on the fan, was easy to install, and works, but it's so limited and basic for what it costs. Unless this is the only way to add light to a room I would not recommend spending this much money on this light upgrade kit. I wish I could get my money back for this but I bought several months before getting to install it so now it's past the return window.
