Product Description Prodigy is one half of the successful rap duo known as Mobb Deep. H.N.I.C. Pt. 2 promises to be the return of Prodigy fans and critics know and love. Look for Prodigy to drop his harsh reality-based rhymes about the darker side of urban life with an unbalanced and sedate flow. Prodigy has undoubtedly proved himself to be a visionary solo artist and H.N.I.C. Pt. 2 will further solidify his status as one of todays premier artists. Review Mobb Deep s Prodigy has embraced the chaos, pain and disarray that s cursed much of his life and used to power an angry, pained, and ironically vital album, H.N.I.C. Part 2. Prodigy s physical self may be incarcerated, but his music has never sounded freer. --Vibe MagazineProdigy s H.N.I.C. Part 2 is completely gripping. 4 out of 5 stars. --Spin MagazineProdigy s Return of the Mac was a banger that placed him back in the court of hip-hop royalty and now H.N.I.C. Part 2 will seal the deal. P has the ability, in his straightforwardness, to be both completely loony and sound. This is all of what makes Prodigy a legend. --Rawkus.com

HNIC 2
This album is the sequel to HNIC, Prodigy's first well-received album. Prodigy, is 1/2 the hip hop group, Mobb Deep, who are well known for their dark, and gutter lyrics, with stripped-down, east-coast production to go along with it. With this album, Prodigy gives his fans an in-depth look into his mind. Themes range from Illuminati conspiracies to street life, to Sean Bell, to typical Mobb Deep-like boasting. The way Prodigy rhymes are different on a lot of these songs. On the single, "The Life", he rhymes the same way he did on early Mobb Deep albums, such as The Infamous, and Hell on Earth. The flow on this song is sick, untouchable, and is much to the liking of fans that prefer the way he spat rhymes back then. On songs, like "I Want Out," "Real Power is People", and "Click Clack," his style is reminiscent to his style on the mixtape, "Return of the Mac (that being laid back, and a slower, haunting style).Production on this album is handled by Apex (produced 50 Cent's single, I Get Money), Sid Roams (produced for The Infamous Mobb and Dilated Peoples), The Alchemist, and Havoc. The Alchemist provides more eerie, and urgent-themed beats than he did on RotM. Sid Roams provide the dark, haunting beats, very fitting for Prodigy's dark lyrics. On the Sid Roams-produced song, "ABC," the theme is Prodigy vs. crooked cops. Prodigy himself stated that he wanted to keep the list of producers simple, where there's not a song on the album where you'll want to skip. The album is consistent from beginning to end. Guests on the album include Un Pacino, Havoc, and Twin Gambino. They all do their thing (especially on the epic song, "I Want Out", a perfect way to end the album). Cormega was supposed to be a guest, (you'll see his verse in the booklet) on the song "When I See U", but you'll only hear P spit his 2 verses on that song.Does this album live up to Return of the Mac? Well, I'd say that they're on the same level, which is a good thing, considering that RotM was already a great album. If you're a huge Mobb Deep fan, and enjoyed RotM, you'd be hard-pressed not to keep this album in heavy rotation. If not, it's still definitely worth a listen if you're a hip hop fan.

Not What I Expected
The reviews made this album sound much better than it was. The original HNIC is far superior. Two decent tracks here.

P
this case was severely cracked. This album is grimey and educational, a style only fully built upon by Prodigy (RIP) who died for the cause. Its time people take these lyrics to heart. Go listen to hegelian dialectic as it suspiciously is not up for sale anywhere an is widely unavailable except for on youtube.

Great follow up but far from the original H.N.I.C
This is a pretty solid follow-up but you can't really compare this album to the first H.N.I.C. Alchemist does his thing on the production but this album doesn't quite fill the shoes of the first solo disk from Prodigy. I actually liked Return of the Macc better. This is however still a good album. Definitely recommend this to any Mobb Deep fan.

Heavy 4 to a Light 5 ......7.5 to 8/10 . Heavy album for agressive truthful content and some consistent productions
I Would rate this album at a Heavy 4 to a Light 5Prodigy's lyricism can take off when he wants it to throughout the years (obviously within the first few Mobb Deep Albums) but he sometimes gets lazy or just does not care what people say about it. When it comes to this specific album though P Delivers with the slow flow, like it or not . He touches on issues with secret society's, past memories of when he was just a young kid of his father teaching him how to commit crimes and fight others to defend himself in violent ways, coming up where he is from with stories of real fallen street soldiers that were close to him such as "Killa B" (his partner and other half of their group Mobb Deep Havoc's Older brother) that was mentioned on past Mobb Deep songs such as "Temperatures Rising", and also mentions other notable individuals from his region/city.Production is Great it all comes together great and is dark eerie gritty like the dark alleys of a concrete jungle should be. This is like cold outside night time winter music , pretty raw and you gotta really listen to appreciate it . Not for radio play, not for the down south sound of hardcore rap but it definitely is worth adding to your collection if you want to expand that hard rap part of your music .Probably P's best "solo" effort. Cruddy, truthful, and most definitely ain't afraid to speak on shady subject matter about groups that run the world.HARD AS HELL.

The life, Young Veterans, Illuminati... Y algunos de sus compinches habituales como Havoc, Big Twins y Big Noyd. Prodigy de nuevo a un gran nivel poniendo a Queensbridge en el mapa.

One of my favourite albums of all times
I am a true rap famn. This is one of my favourites albums of all times. Prodigy just spits that hard shit from song to song. I hardly ever buy music but i feel i must suppport his music. He is one of the best rappers of all times if not the best.

An 'OK' album
Nowhere near the quality of 1. The only stand-out track I can hear on this one is I Want Out. The track 'ABC' has got to be one of the worst rap records of all time, made even more unbearable by adding Spanish lyrics to it for the later 'Remix'. I'm glad I didn't pay 20-odd pounds for this when it was only here on import. I like P but he's capable of better,
