It will make you a better Scout leader
I've made several attempts to read Baden-Powell's "Aids to Scoutmastership", but I don't think I've ever made it all the way through without losing the thread. It's not a long book, but the 1920's language and ideas required a continual translation in my head.Clarke Green has set out to write the same kind of advice for today's Scouters, with great success. This is easy to read and a great introduction to what it means to be an adult leader in Scouting.Highly recommended.

Great resources for Boy Scout Leaders
While the materials is mostly familiar to long-time listeners to Clarke Green's podcast or readers of his blog, this book is a great resource for Boy Scout leaders who want to make sure their Scouts are getting the most out of the Scouting program. It serves as a great summation of all the great work he's done on his long-running podcast (over 200 episodes as of this writing) and blog posts.Leaders who want to implement the Boy Scout program well and run a boy-led troop will find no better resource than this book (along with the podcast and blog, though the book is complete on its own).Clarke's writing is conversational and entertaining, making the book a pleasure to read. This is essential reading for any Boy Scout leader.

I am desperately trying to let go of the reins and let the boys lead the way. Thanks Clarke for your inspiration.
We need more of this in our world. Would recommend this book to everyone who chooses to be a scout leader.

Good introduction to the function of "boy lead".
Good expository guidelines for boy lead, with some examples. The presentation could use further examples and stories. Also, details and stories for age and develemental examples, contrasting Cubs and Venturing would be appreciated.
