If you began tying flies with elk, deer, calf, and moose hair, among others, using craft fur will be an interesting diversion. The fur is available in any imaginable color and is quite easy to use. It cuts from a "skin" just as calf fur might. Its texture is incredibly soft, unlike the more coarse fibers we might have begun with (think of it as a soft and elongated maribou). In the water, it is much more flexible in terms of mimicking tail movements or body flexing. Relatively easy to cut, trim, and tie down, it is a wonderful addition to the fly tying table. Will it replace natural hair and fur? Not for all applications. But is certainly provides another alternative and flexibility that is another way to try and trick these wary fish! Pricing is great and quality excellent. At this price, it's worth taking a chance. If you don't like it, turn it into a hand warmer!

Pieces are way too small for the price

Great variety of colors. My only knock is there isnt a true chartreuse which is vital to have for all fishermen.

Pieces were smaller than I expected (I thought they would be closer to the size of those sold in the craft stores), but that’s my fault for not reading the description carefully. The product itself was great!
