I got this at a time I was really impressed with Mambo and Sambas/Bossa Nova music and wanted to learn to play them myself. The key to retaining/embellishing on them, however, was getting gigs where I got to play them with an 'authentic' band. Enjoy & good luck!

I bought two, one for me, and one for my drummer.Pros: Breaks down Afro-Cuban styles and funks them up. Grooves can make ladies booty shake.Cons: Not for beginners, unless studied with professional.

Great Book and CD combo! Has tracks minus the drums that you can play along to, Jaime Abersold style. All the beats and variations are great!

j'ai bossé sur cette méthode il y a plus de 20ans, ca fait tellement plaisir d'avoir retrouvé le cd + méthode..bon.. les morceaux sonnent un peu vieillots avec le temps (synthé) mais les rythm afrocub, songo, guaguanco sont toujours aussi chouette :)
