Decent Low-Cost Coin-Purse Leather Wallet
After many years of satisfaction, my leather men's coin-purse wallet finally reached the age of retirement. It was literally falling apart, truth to tell. I had no luck finding a similar wallet locally for a reasonable cost, so I reluctantly resorted to the Web. After much vain research that dug up a cornucopia of cheap, fugly wallets, I found this one on Amazon. The reviews were sparse and mixed, but it looked okay, so I ordered it. When it arrived, it looked and felt good right away. The deep brown color is attractive enough, although I do not yet know how water-resistant is the dye used in the leather. Understandably, I'm not anxious to soak the wallet in water just to be a one-man Consumer Reports testing laboratory. The currency compartment is not nearly as deep as with my old wallet, and the fit is indeed a little tight, but it's really not that hard to carefully poke the currency into its compartment. There's a nice "hidden" currency compartment with a zipper, and the "open" currency compartment has a flap dividing into two parts. The second part would doubtless be useful for holding tickets and such in addition to currency, but I'll probably never use it. I tend to keep my wallet as under-stuffed as possible, so that sitting down isn't like fighting a nasty, uncomfortable rock with one butt cheek. The credit cards fit closely, but there have been no special problems. Perhaps the other fellow here got a wallet that was slightly tighter. Manufacturing tolerances do vary somewhat with leather products, I guess. The middle section for more credit cards and for the driver's license or other identification card had no trouble accepting my driver's license. The fit wasn't at all tight, although I'm not sure if all identification cards or driver's licenses for other states would fit as easily. The plastic viewing window was just a bit small, cutting off from sight the perimeter of the driver's license, but I'm not going to wrinkle my brow over it. It's a minor shortcoming. As usual, the plastic "extra" credit card holder was appallingly cheap and flimsy. I tossed it out immediately. I understand that it's possible to buy better-quality replacements, but my needs are few, so I do without. The coin-purse section works well, although I'm not sure how long that little snap-button will work. If it ever goes, I suppose I'll sew on some Velcro equivalent or arrive at some other solution to keeping the covering flap closed. With any luck, the leather will also hold up along the creases of the coin-purse compartment. We shall see.The wallet has been comfortable and useful over the last two months. I do wrap it up with a few rubber bands to keep it closed and to provide friction that makes it less likely to simply fall out during ordinary bending and stretching. I did this with my previous wallet as well. Surprisingly, I'm actually happy with this wallet. I like it better than my old wallet, which is a reversal of a lifetime trend of being less and less pleased with each new wallet. I'm about to make a small leap of faith in its ultimate durability by ordering another copy to keep on hand for when the new one inevitably wears out in no more than eight to ten years, or for the unfortunate happenstance of theft or loss. It only cost eleven dollars after sales tax for New York State, which is pretty decent for this wallet, I think.

Genuine Lambskin - a decent wallet
I have wallets galore. One for every occasion including a $154.00 Italian leather vintage Picasso. So I consider myself not an expert but familiar with plenty of wallets.I got this wallet to replace one which got a hole in the coin holder. I searched mens' wallets and found it wasn't so easy to find a low priced wallet which also has a coin holder. I do go camping and hiking so I wasn't prepared to spend much on a wallet which is going to get a beating and wasn't about to ding up my other beautiful wallets on rock climbing.I prefer black over brown but bought the brown because the price was $5.00 lower. The wallet arrived today - 3 days from order date - fast shipping. I was happy to see the wallet is a dark brown, not a all what I expected. This color is almost as dark as the black. Holding side-by-side under the light the brown doesn't stand out as brown because of the dark-brown nature. It appears well stitched and well made. Next thing I did is haul all my wallets from my Amore' to compare credit card fit. The credit cards fit as their supposed to, and fit just the same as some of my others except for the Italian and English made wallets (which are slightly larger in overall size and therefore the credit card slots are also larger.)All my Credit cards from American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Bank Debit cards have no problem fitting the slots with any pressure. They simply slide in without effort. I don't know why the prior poster is having a problem. Maybe he is overcompensating the angle. I have no problem whatsoever with the wallet I received.Leather gives with time, so one should also take that into consideration. In final I found great value and I am a happy customer.

Got what I paid for
I got exactly what I paid for, lol. It's a $10 wallet... for $10!! =)I got this for my husband, that is always having to get new wallets, or wash his...As My daughter seen his wallet, hanging on the porch "drying out" and all of his cards on the kitchen window sill.... she said, Mom- We got to get Dad a new wallet for Father's Day. Which coincidentally was a few days later! We hit up Amazon Prime, free 2 day shipping--- so that $10 even covered shipping!Low and behold I was quite surprised to find a Lamb Skin wallet (as she wanted so bad! ) and it had a coin slot in it!! He was always sticking his change down in with the money and flinging it across countertops by accident when taking out his wallet. He kind of got a chuckle out of this- but he wound up actually loving the wallet! It 'IS' kinda bulky, but that will just make it fit FIRMLY in his back pocket. (No More Lake Diving after his wallet!! At least we hope, lol)So bottom line, it's a great wallet for the price and we won't be too heartbroken if it has to be "aired out" or pulled out of a dog's mouth in the future!OH, one more thing- by the way, on the inside fold, it says "genuine leather" hahaha My daughter didn't even notice, and I'm not gonna tell her lol

Worth far more than you pay
It's actually a pretty decent wallet. I chose this one for the lack of name branding as well as that it's a bifold with the center card/ ID holder and the small coin compartment. A design usually found on far more expensive wallets. For less than $10, let's roll the dice. So far it has surpassed expectations (which weren't that high because of what I paid). I'm very active, going to the gym, my job requires leaving my office and being out in the field from time to time, and I have 2 kids (which means this thing gets tested a lot). So far it's taken it all like a champ. I always have a hard time finding a wallet that matches features and class. I'm still holding out to see how long this leather lasts, but so far so good.
