Very sturdy and easy to assemble. If I were to pick at it, I'd say I would have liked a little clearer instruction on the specific bolts and where they go. There was a such a subtle difference, I didn't notice, and put a couple in the wrong spot at the start. Also though, my directions were very faded and almost unreadable.Also, on one hand, I love the sturdiness of the set bolt, but I do both back AND side extensions, and I have to re-set the length on each use. I wish it had a spring-loaded set pin that was quicker and easier.But, as I said, I'm just trying to offer a couple of comments on a very good product. Thank you!

I am 5'9". I have this thing on the very lowest adjustment setting and it just barely works if I stand on my tiptoes down OFF of the very nice large foot platform. It's a shame because otherwise the machine is really well built. It's sturdy, strong, built of plenty of quality metal. It's just way too big. Again I have it on the lowest adjustment setting. I'm not tall but also not super short. I mean a lot of people are shorter than 5'9". What are they supposed to do? I won't be returning it due to the hassle and that it sort of works for me. But very disappointed with this one major flaw. Didn't they learn to measure twice and cut once? On the bright side this would probably work well for KG, Shaq, Durant, and other taller NBA players.

I bought this to help decompress my spine before lifting and to improve my lower back. My home gym also doesn't have enough space so I can't fit a GHD or a reverse-hyper in there. I would've loved to put Titan Fitness' GHD if I could but can't. I opted for a back hyperextension bench instead. I wanted the Body-Solid one but that's $320 while this is $140 and you can get it on Titan's website as well during the sales promotions (Black Friday or Christmas) for $115. I wouldn't recommend buying other back extension benches like CAP, Deltech and so on. So far, it's done the job and alleviated some of the dull lower back pain.I also added caster wheels to the back of it underneath the feet plate. I got the 1.5 inch caster wheels from Home Depot and used JB Weld to glue the wheels to the bench. Clamped them down for 24 hours to cure and it works fine for moving around my gym. I got the idea from commercial hyperextension benches. I don't know why Titan didn't choose to just put wheels themselves, it would better differentiate their product from other cheaply made ones.Pros:-works lower back as intended-fairly heavy and won't move while working out-good bang for your buck (the closest one in specs is about $172 which is the Valor Fitness CB-13)-very good for people taller than 6'-doesn't take up as much space as a GHD-has a foot plate with a lip to hold your feet rather than foam rollers in the backCons:-pain in the butt to move unless you add wheels or some other mobility attachment-not good for people shorter than 5'5", the shortest I would recommend someone using this is probably 5'9" or 5'10"-space hog, still takes up a decent amount of space-very specialized for lower back or neck workouts-foam padding isn't very comfortable or high enough (as compared to the Body-Solid)-the hole that fits the center column/shaft doesn't have tight tolerances cause the shaft does shake/move side to side around even if you tighten the pop-pin all the wayIn short, if you have the money, get the Body-Solid or a Cybex 45 degree back extension if you want just lower back workouts. Get the reverse hyper if you have space and want to also do calf workouts.

This thing is awesome. Great price point! Sturdy, well built, easy to put together. I bought another back machine from another vendor. First name starts with a V second name is fitness. Don’t even bother with their products. Absolute crap. Guess Titan fitness is the way to go if you use this machine as an example!! I’m 6’5 233 the thing doesn’t even teeter. Not a wiggle whatsoever. LOVE THIS THING!!!!

I just assembled this bench last night and decided to adjust the height of the pads for the first time. The ring that the pin screws into broke away from the frame because it was welded on poorly. I was quite frustrated since I don't feel like taking the bench apart and sending it back. I guess I'm just going to see if I know someone that can weld it back on for me.Otherwise, assembly was easy and the rest of the product feels pretty solid. I look forward to using it once I can get the pads to the proper height.

Lower back/side muscle re strengthening, easy to assemble, adjustable to many sizes, STRONG, well built, getting on to and off of is much easier than other designs.

Overall the biggest problem I see after assembly is the lack of care put into shipping and the quality control.The Welds aren't horrible but they are certainly far from perfect .The metal has paint missing on several spots due to everything shifting around during shipping.The bent square tubing will have creases from the bending process.The padding it dense and about 1.75in thick.Gonna test it out for the next few weeks and hope I don't have to fix anything myself. Ya get what ya pay for though right?

Holes didn’t line up for handle bars. Called customer service with Titan. Sounded like the woman had a crowd behind her, and I could hardly understand what she was saying. I’m now waiting on Titan to rectify it, but this is really a manufacturing quality issue. Until then, I’ll use it without handle bars, but it’s pretty hard to do.
