Danger - The light is NOT IC Rated.
The light is NOT IC Rated. Beware. I learnt this the hard way after installing it. When we asked the manufacturer they informed us via an email that the junction box is IC rates but the light itself is NOT. Absolute risk. There is no mention of this on the Amazon web page. Be safe buyers for you and your family sake!

Smart Dimmer Switch Solution!!
The Sunco LED lights are great! They’re very bright and it was relatively easy to install. When making a hole into the ceiling, keep in mind that the wings where the clips are attatched to protrude slightly past the circular base, in other words make your hole slightly bigger to accommodate this.I was disappointed with the lack of attention to detail from Sunco in their description. Parts of the product descriptions it states that it comes with a 5 year warranty and in other areas it says 7 years. Which is true?? Misleading much? This not only applies to the Amazon listing but also on their website. The very same errors can be found. The pics on both sites says 7 Yrs whereas the box I received says 5 yrs along with the specs sheet on both websites. On another subject, I really wanted to put this light system as part of my smart home design. In other words, I wanted to control these lights via my iPhone remotely and by using Amazon Alexa. After calling Sunco they reassured me that there were no smart dimmer switches out there to make this happen. They mentioned that there is one smart switch that works with these lights but it lacks the dimming part, so it’s basicalky an on/off switch.Well, after doing a lot of research I was able to put 2+2 together. This light system is an ELV (Electronic Low Voltage) for those that don’t already know. I was able to gamble on only one smart dimmer switch that I found online that may be able to work with my Sunco recessed lights. I purchased the Lutron Caseta Wireless Smart Lighting Dimmer Switch for ELV, Model # PD-5NE-WH. Good thing I did because it worked beautifully!!! This may be the only smart ELV dimmer switch in the market that is capable of working with low voltage lighting systems and to pair it with other popular devises. Please DO NOT buy the Lutron Caseta Model # PD-6WCL-WH, as this will not work with low voltage lights.Model # PD-5NE-WH is the only safe bet that I’ve found to work with ELV lights. This model isn’t cheap! You’ll end up shelling out about $100 but to have a smart dimmer switch and to be able to control it from anywhere I think it was worth every penny. I bought the ELV dimmer switch from Amazon and received it the next day. Other big named home improvement stores have them on their website but they will not be in the stores stock, they’ll have to ship it to you. If you want it quick then Amazon is the way to go. Anyway, follow the instructions included and you’ll find it very easy. Also, another note to mention. If you end up buying the smart dimmer switch I listed above to pair it with your Sunco Slim LED lights then you’ll either need their hub or you can use the Wink 2 Hub. You can simply link it to the Wink hub and then pair it to your Alexa account. All went as smooth as possible.Update:After 1.5 years of using these lights and with the recommended smart dimmer above, it has been working beautifully. No issues so far and I’m extremely happy.

Junk
DO NOT BUY!!!!Update: march 2020 after 4 months of lights being installed, lights are starting to crack and discolouration is starting to take place. These are complete junk. Novemver 2019. As soon as I open them I noticed how cheap the Junction boxes were. They are made of a very thin plastic. When installing I actually had 2 of the lights break on me. The plastic where the Spring connects on the side broke off when barely opening them to install. Had to search around for a 1/2 hour for small little plastic piece's to re-glue. Then gently inserted them into the desired hole and prayed that the glue will hold. I already had the holes cut in my ceiling so it's not like I had time for the manufacturer to ship me something new so I had to just make do.

Easy to install, easy to break, and can overheat and burn.
Product is a good price, easy to install as any other light of the sort. Be very careful as tabs will break since the spring-retainers are very tight on some (not all) of the lights. One of mine broke off and made the light essentially useless.ONE YEAR UPDATE-smelled something plastic-like burning, and turned lights off. Realized this may be the light since the smell was coming from there. I took light out and it was melted/ burned. I disassembled the light to find the burned pieces which are shown in the photos. Definitely glad this didn’t start a fire. I assume that the materials are fire resistant to a degree, but as you can see in the photos, a pieces of paper that is used as a filler in the sealed light is burned. Just glad my house didn’t catch on fire. Not sure what can be done after a year, but I have bought many lights by this manufacturer, and this is the first time this has happened, so all things considered, I’d probably still buy these again.

Very nice, warm light, but one power supply already died
We did a kitchen upgrade, replacing some 10-year-old Home Depot halogen "special" with these nice flush-mount LED lights. Cutting holes through sheetrock-covered old-school plaster was a mess! But the lights snap in pretty easily, look good, and provide excellent (dimmable!) light. The only flaw is that a few months in, one of the power supplies died. Each light has its own power supply, so the good news is that it only affected one light, and since the power supply is physically separate from the light "pancake", it was fairly easy to replace the dead power supply. And Sunco was quick about replacing the dead supply which arrived in a day or so. But it left me a bit nervous about longevity.

1 doesn't work
I put 20 of them in my house. I'm a contractor. 1 in my daughter's room turns on dim and brightenes up minutes after it's on. They look good and are easy to install but if this was in a customer's house I would have to do a free time consuming repair because the light is defective. It started doing this after being installed for a month. Now another one is out

What a great product
I had them installed in my basement. My electrician wanted to install buckets and then get inserts, and I suggested these instead. He was so happy with the ease of working with these that he gave me a discount on the job, since it took him that much less time to get everything done.Best part of this product is my kids finally want to play in the basement! they didn't like playing it because they thought it was too dark and spooky. After putting these in, they love being downstairs and enjoy the bright room!NOTE - there are back and forth discussions about using smart dimmers with this product. I tested them with the KASA dimmer and they work GREAT! no flicker issues or anything like that. they Dim very low and the smart dimmers have no problem handling these lights.

Muy buenas luminarias
facil de instalar, he comprado de esta marca como unas 50 o 60 piezas y solo 2 han fallado, pero no se como funcionen con un dimmer porque todavia no he necesitado instalar uno
