Kaffe Fassett's Pattern Library: Over 190 Creative Knitwear Designs

This book by Kaffe Fassett is very informative, very nicely written and a wealth of information. I enjoy just reading the book. The patterns are wonderful and written so that a beginner would catch on pretty quick to knit from the patterns. The photos are just great. This is a coffee table book. I am very well pleased that I bought this book.

Hope your not expecting patterns....... This is an excellent color combo reference suggestion book too. However because of its brevity, dont expect too much. If you do not like charts, this is not for you. He has good explanations for what he does best. This is really for the experienced knitter! Glad I got a used copy, and did not pay full price.

Such beautiful patterns and colors! Makes me want to dive in and create something wonderful. The final chapter even guides you into the process of using motifs to create your own garments.

If you’re a knitter, even a pretty serious one, you’ll be bowled over by what is done. I’m not an advanced knitter, but I am inspired to keep challenging myself.

FYI, these are not patterns for hats or sweaters, but for fair isle and instarsia motifs. There’s lots of lovely stuff in here that you can incorporate into your knitted items!

The best thing about this book is it's so full of design patterns. Having the charts for colorful designwork is handy. So many books are full of the actual garment patterns, this one is full of the design patterns making it easy for the creative knitter to find a design and adapt it to whatever knitting project they choose. It's great for the experienced knitter, however, it may not be the best or most useful for a new knitter although, it's definately one for the new knitter to have in their library as inspiration and future use.

Patterns are beautiful to look at, but much too much of a headache to duplicate and there are absolutely no instructions or helpful hints to recreate. Should have saved my money.

There is nothing quite like opening a new book especially one that holds so many different lessons.After learning from the dvd format I am now comfortable trying it all. I love this, it covers so many different techniques and they are all relatively easy to follow. The road to discovery is wide open to anyone who is inclined to learn this craft.

I have always loved Kaffee Fasset's designs but some of the sweaters have become a little dated. This pattern book allows you to take you favourite designs and apply them to current colour ways and 21st century sweaters and such.

I am happy with the book. However after paying $135 with Amazon, I was surprised to see stickers on the book for $ 34.95 US and $ 49.95 CAN.

E' proprio come me l'aspettavo, anzi di più. Ho trovato anche schemi e spiegazioni, oltre che le immagini dei suoi lavori e creazioni. Bellissimo e sicuramente utile per chi desidera cimentarsi in questo ambito del lavoro a maglia.
