Plant Therapy Helichrysum Hydrosol 4 oz (Flower Water) by-Product of Essential Oils

I ordered Helichrysum hydrosol from Plant Therapy, and could not be more delighted. I've just begun exploring their oils, and haven't really tested them yet but I couldn't resist opening this package as soon as I got it. Here's what I found:The product itself is top flight - seems to be from a very fresh, first-pass distillation for a maximum of benefit from the botanicals. As fragrant as helichrysum EOs I have bought from other sources in the past!** Later, I will integrate this into products for home use, but for now, I tried just a couple of small splashes neat on face and hands. My skin was a bit irritated, and within minutes, I noticed the inflammation starting to subside and be soothed. That and wound/scar care are much of what I buy helichrysum (also known as Everlasting) for -- mission accomplished!I was equally impressed by the packaging. Nothing half-baked or homespun here! (Actually, I like homemade, but that's beside the point here. :-). ). The bottling, labelling and seal all give a professional, high-quality appearance. Additional care was also taken to doubly secure the bottle closure so that it did not come open in transit, with the entire product then bagged & sealed again before being shipped in a padded envelope. This is, or should be, THE first-class standard for packaging liquids for shipment. No risk, but also no waste nor excess. And all of it beautifully done.Hydrosols (aka floral waters) are said by many to be the most important product of distillation, even more so than EOs because of their versatility and therapeutic benefit. Finding a good source is... not the Grail, of course, but worthy of a mighty good search. If you've found this listing, you've arrived. Buy with confidence - Plant Therapy is rocking this hydrosol.**Please note: if you haven't worked with heliichrysum before, the scent is powerful and somewhat akin to new-mown hay with herbal and fruity undertones. People do often have strong opinions pro and con. I'm a fan, especially having seen what it can do - YMMV. Enjoy!

Plant therapy is a great company to purchase from, they have great safety info, and high quality oils for very affordable prices. This is the first ever hydrosol I've purchased and I chose this one since the essential oil version is a bit out of my price range at the moment, and this was a more affordable option for the moment. The smell is not my favorite, but isn't a bad one either. It has a floral scent, but reminds me of honey at the same time. I got this to use as a toner for my face, and because I've red Helichrysum is good for rosacea. I have indeed noticed a difference in the redness on my face since using this for a few days. The bottles come with a pop up top that you can quickly pour out of, and included was also a spray mist cap in a plastic bag. I opted to use the mister, for spraying the hydrosol on my face. It hasn't clogged or had any problems with the sprayer or bottle themselves. All in all its a really awesome product, and a more affordable option if the EO is not an option.

I purchased this for a very specific usage. First, I am now cancer free, thank God! During my long breast cancer journey, my Radiation Oncology Nurse told me about this product. I did research and found that Plant Therapy Inc was an excellent supplier of this organic product. I read about them & they are a family company dedicated to organic products so what's not to like?! I had 33 radiations and when I got home after each treatment, I would spray this hydrosol onto my burned skin and then apply the other ointments recommended by my Oncologist as well as some others I researched.This Hydrosol was SO soothing, a cool & comforting spray with historic healing properties. So, it was the 1st thing I put on my skin every day, then the ointments, then all day & evening I would spray skin with Hydrosol again & again - at least every two hours. It is the single most soothing product of any I used. When my skin was burning & at its very worst, this was my go-to product for relief. I continued using after radiation was complete. My doctors, nurses, radiation techs were all amazed at how fast & great my skin healed. Now, 2 months after I have been finished with all treatment, I still do the same protocol on my skin every day & evening to help with the healing which takes several months. I discovered that it's great to also put it on my face because it's so fantastic for skin, very hydrating too. I intend to use this for the rest of my life, for face, arms, legs etc...will spray on this Hydrosol all over, then apply daily moisturizures. I NEVER write product reviews but this one deserved one. I consider it a rare little miracle I was lucky enough to discover.

I'm not a beginner user of Helichrysum or Plant Therapy products. When I saw Helichrysum Italicum hydrosol, I thought, YES!I sprayed it on my face and my skin reactions cleared up. I sprayed it on sunburns and I didn't blister and my pale Irish freckles actually tanned for a change. These it worked fabulously on. It doesn't work on dry skin, cuts, wound, burns, bruises or pretty much anything I use HIEO on, on a daily basis. HIEO is a staple in my first aid kit.Now, I can't give this product 5 stars and I'll tell you why. I vomit when I spray this on my face. It smells so badly. I bought this in the 4 oz bottle and it smells so bad my cats run from the room. As long as I can hold my breath until it evaporates, I can kinda use this hydrasol.Summer is still going and I bought an 8oz bottle just for sunburns. I react to most sunscreens and can only wear long sleeves and pants in the cooler parts of the day.The 8 oz bottle does NOT smell like fermented flower fairy farts. I immediately put it into the fridge. I'm afraid the freezer would alter hydrasol like it does aloe juice. Blah.I don't know who is at fault, Amazon or Plant Therapy. Why on earth would you ship me a product that has obviously gone bad? Horribly horribly wrong. I can't even bring myself to use up the last of the 4oz bottle. I cry when I think about vomiting from it.

This is an amazing helichrysum hydrosol for the price point (less than $20). I used to use another helichrysum hydrosol from a competitive brand that had to be shipped from the states, I had to pay extra duties, and it was far more expensive due to exchange rates - it cost a small fortune after everything was said and done. I’m so happy I’ve found a cheaper alternative that has the same excellent quality and is wonderful on my skin.The smell of helichrysum is kind of interesting and it takes some getting used to - it’s almost like a mix between medical gauze, sort of sterile, with a mellow floral, tea-like back note. At first I didn’t like it, but it actually started to smell quite soothing and lovely after repeated uses. Helichrysum is one of the underrated powerhouse plants in skincare, it’s not as popular as some others, but it’s very effective. It’s incredibly soothing when your face is hot, red, and agitated. It’s also supposed to be very good for acne scarring and hyperpigmentation, especially the essential oil (which I’m looking to buy next). I loved spraying this after washing off a facial mask, on a hot day to soothe red skin, and on a cotton pad to get excess oil and sweat off my face. It makes your skin feel smooth and soft. I love that it came with both a spray nozzle and a push top, so you have to option of both. A definite repurchase!

I bought this for my boyfriend who suffers from kidney stones. It works very well. It smells awful to me though (he didn't mind the smell)
