I don't fight embroidery thread nearly so often.
I have a commercial embroidery machine for my small business. I've fought embroidery thread shredding and breaking for 5 years, increasing the run times excessively. I dip each spool into the lubricant which I've put in a small pint wide-mouth jar, count to 10 and take it out. It's easy to tell which spools are really dry. The bubbling starts immediately. I drain the spools on a towel overnight and they're ready to use the next day. Breakage is less than 25% of the time now. Great stuff!
