Northstar Tactical Assault Vest (Medium/X-Large

The price is there but the quality isn't, I put my handgun in the holster and put the vest on and walked around with it while I was shooting my plinking gun at the range. My handgun's weight made the metal of the button sheer off, if a little 9mm does that imagine what would happen if you were running and had a larger caliber handgun.Pass.

Impressed.Very adjustable and fits me wellI ordered the xxl one ( 6 foot 2 inches.. 250lb) and I adjusted all the straps to the smallest settings and it is very secured on me. The vest can be worn by a much bigger person then my self.The holster WILL fit a full sized frame pistol with no problem. I carry the Ruger SR40 (full size) and there is a bit if extra room.Vest is put together very well and if needed I would order it again.Ordered the Med. size one for my wife (have not got it yet) and Im sure she will be just as happy as I am.

I purchased the NorthStar Tactical Assault Vest in coyote tan. I looked at the product and description as advertised "here" and then went to the NorthStar site and compared that with the vest they display. They appeared to be identical so I made the purchase. On receiving mine there is a difference. The ballistic nylon holster on mine is not adjustable. The picture reflects a MOLE type panel and the ballistic nylon holster attached. The description states the holster is "adjustable. On mine the holster is permanently attached by being sewn into a nylon mesh panel. The result of this is the holster on mine while being permanently attached is loose as it is sewn into a mesh panel. The pistol flops around and does not feel secure at all. Additionally, this is a concern as the product advertised offers the ability to remove the holster and attach optional equipment (additional M4 magazine pouches or radio case,etc) as desired and on mine the holster can not be removed ! I sent an email to NorthStar inquiring if the model I received is perhaps and outdated model but, have not heard back from them. In every other way it appears to be identical to the one advertised so I do not doubt that it is a NorthStar Vest. iT just is not like the one advertised. I am contemplating returning the vest. For $5.00 more I could get the advertised model which is really what I wanted.

I bought this for my son who has been in the Army. He loves it. As soon as it arrived, my son came over and I watched him load his gear in the vest. One of the things that my son likes about this tacticle vest is the fact that you can put different sizes of cartridges in the slots around the vest. My son has a rifle and a pistol and this vest allows him to take both sizes of cartridges, because the pockets has Velcro and he can enlarge the pockets or tighten them up to fit both sizes/types of ammo cartridges he uses. I would recommend this product to others.

Very well made vest...This is a well made Tactical Vest. The material used is thick and hopefully will stand up to a lot of abuse.The XX-Large just fits my waste size(40", if your waste is bigger, you will need a longer belt) andthe chest can adjusted to be nice and snug. Large zipper up the front is nice and the mag pouches holdthe mags firmly in place with heavy Velcro flaps. This also has metal shoulder hoops(not seen in the picture),I'm guessing for a gun sling. The shoulders have big heavy duty adjustable Velcro flaps.I bought the Army Digital, which is a little on the gray side but should still blend in with most terrain.Over all, this vest is nice!!! I would highly recommend it.

Product is well made and very versatile for different sizes. My wife and I both got the same vest: medium/x--large. I am 5'9 and 200lbs. and she is 5'9 around 140lbs. and it fits both of us very well after the adjustment of the vest. I used velcro in a roll I purchased from Lowes to add some extra space for additions and so far it has held very well.

When I first got the best I put it on and found it tight. After looking at it I found the Velcro on the shoulders and adjusted then to fit. I like the side straps they adjust too. I gave the best four stars because the holster is crap.

Hubby loves it! Really sturdy well made vest. Fit the pistol nice, takes some all over adjustment but it worked out great. Hubby is 6'1" tall & 200-210 pounds. Had to put the side adjustments & the waist bell all the way out to fit him, so even though it's a 2X, it's not gonna fit anyone much bigger. He is really happy with it, found 2 leg holsters here to match!
