The main positives for me of these back-strap clasp-adjustable Siggi army-style caps, are the style and fitting. The larger size will fit head sizes up to 64 cm diameter; sizes which are not catered for by most one-size caps.The colour most suited to the style of cap is probably the green although this does, unsurprisingly, give the cap a more military style appearance. A shame, I think, that there is no dark blue/navy version available.Female friends of mine who have tried the caps on suit them, and they do have room to accommodate a fuller head of hair.Although not waterproofed the caps will keep your head dry in a brief shower. The mesh buttons are just sown onto the outside of the cap so are purely cosmetic and do not provide any breathability or air circulation in hot weather. The sizeable peak does however provide protection from the sun.So there are practical limitations to the caps if you are not wearing them solely as a fashion item; but they do seem to be soundly stitched and put together.

Ok I don't often write reviews, but I thought this might be useful for others.I suffer from migraines most days, so I tend to wear hats every day in order to block all the light coming from above. I'm 5'10" (taller than the average man in the UK), so my head isn't tiny, and I find that most pretty women's caps are not nearly deep/tall enough (they don't come down to above my eyes (to properly block the light), and they don't come far enough down at the back to hold them on). I don't really want to dress like a teenage boy, so I'm not a fan of the usual snapbacks etc. I have an old black army-style cap from 10 years ago that's been washed so much that it's grey, and thought I should try to find replacements. I bought the cap that this review is for in grey, dark green and black (to go with different outfits/for a bit of a change). Well, they're the cutest things ever! They are adjustable and have plenty more room in them than I need, they come down to my eyebrows and fit nice and low at the back - enough so that they stay on when the tube goes past (I've lost hats this way).. I work in film, I always have a hat on until they make me take it off, and on Wednesday the Costume Director actually re-did my entire costume around my hat - not only did I get to keep it on (less migraines, so I'm happy!), but he changed what he had me in to suit it. So it's not just my opinion that it's cute. So yes, in summary, if you have migraines I'd give it a go (nice wide brim, and it's nice and deep/sits low to the eyebrows and stays on). If you're tall and just looking for a larger cap than the standard women's ones, I would also say to give it a go. And if you're just looking for something to keep the sun off your face, and don't want to look like a teenager, again, I think this is fit for purpose. It has plenty of adjustment in it (and I don't actually have a 'large' head, just one that's proportional to my frame), so it will easily fit people with both larger and smaller heads than mine.

I bought 3 of these hats, in different colours. They fit well, and are well seamed. I have limited mobility. I wash the hats in a Miele washer with a handwash setting, in a zipped delicates bag. This one failed suddenly at 9 months. I complained to Amazon, who issued a refund, but wanted its return. I have purchased an identical replacement, to see how that fares. Good design, but uncertain durability.

First time I've ever found a site which advertises the actual measurements of the hat and then the product exceeds that. I now have a choice of wearing the cap pulled well down or perched comfortably higher on my head.The material is soft, but not waterproof. The headband is lined comfort and the metal logo is easily removed by cutting the stitching. A neat feature is that the end of the adjustment tape has a slot to tuck into, so no hanging tape to irritate your neck.The peak is about the depth of a standard baseball hat.Cheaper versions are available, but this one has a slightly better fit, is more spacious and has softer material. Hope I lose the cheaper one!

This hat is great and I love it on my husband who is 47! My teensons were eyeing it up even!My husband has a wide head so I selected the larger head fitting and it still had room because it was adjustable at the back. Itis well made and he likes to roll it up which is good because then he actually remembers to take it.Maybe they will do a lined one sometime ...but this works for summer and winter.

I didn't want a baseball cap and I don't 'heart' NY because I've never been there. I wanted a plain hat and this fits the bill as well as my head. It's well made and very good value. The cheaper ones out there are slightly shallower in terms of skull cap depth. There's nothing wrong with that, I just wanted one like this and I'm very pleased with it.

This military cap (grey version) doesn't make you look like a sniper, rather a grenadier, an old time hero with a touch of manly charm. Heroism you have to bring yourself, but the charm is there in the cap.Part of the charm is the front being kept upright. This is done by a piece of paperboard on the inside, but when replaced with synthetic leather the cap is foldable and can be put away in a (large) coat pocket without loosing its form. I do not always want to wear a cap, just want it at hand.The size is perfect for my head of 58.5 cm. There is room for bigger heads, so it is somewhat on the big side for me, but in fact that's exactly what I hoped for, guessing it would make the looks even more relaxed. It was a correct guess.The peak fits in with the design, nonetheless it is a bit too long to my personal taste. But I can live with it. After a search for caps with a shorter peak I came back to this one for its playfulness.The solid cotton makes this a durable cap. Gooood quality, well stitched. The lining really works in the cold, which I welcome very much. It is a wonderful cap.
