Hunter Douglas 0.9 mm Duette Standard Lifting String (60' Feet)

This kit arrived quickly and is so easy to use. I used a “you tube” video to actually see how to replace the string pulls on my Duette blinds. Now 3 of my windows have functional blinds once again. It saved me literally hundreds of dollars since the blinds themselves were still in great shape after 15 years.

I have one particularly troublesome honeycomb shade with those tiny pulls that go through the pleats/honeycomb was breaking... yearly. Those skinny pulls, 0.6mm by my estimate, were simply fraying and breaking. After running out of slack to re-tie them at the breaks I decided to try replace the pull once and for all. I chose the 0.9mm from Shades of Maine as they had fresh pulls, not stained like pulls from other suppliers on Amazon. Yeah, the .9mm is larger but it works just as well... better in fact. I replaced both pulls while I had the blind down and dissembled and when I put it back up - well, wow! The blind was like new, better than new. It was more responsive, it could pull up farther, and letting it down was far more controlled. The blind is more than repaired, it's upgraded, and it'll last much longer.If you have honeycomb/cell shades that have internal pulls that are being a problem, just order this and replace the pulls.

This is an unbranded product but it worked fine on some Hunter-Douglas blinds that I had to repair. On the plus side, a lot of it comes for the money you pay . I don’t know how it’ll hold up against the original HD rope but only time will tell

The string color was a perfect match and the replacement string saved me from having to replace the blind.

I paid extra because I wanted a good quality product, and this fit the bill. A little pricey given that you can buy a lot more quantity for this cost, but I only needed to restring one shade. So, this fit the bill and I’m happy with the product and the result.

This cord was tangled when I received it. It's really difficult to untangle 60 feet of cord, I tried and failed. The cord was not on a spool but rather just wrapped around and placed in a zip lock bag. Get the cord that is on a spool and save yourself some trouble.

Works great same as one that came with my Hunter Douglas blinds! Installing was not difficult. Just pay attention to where things are. I'm happy!
