Kalimba Thumb Piano 17 Keys,Portable Finger Piano mbira Instruments with Instruction Book Tune Hammer for Kids and Adults Beginners

My friend really turned me on to the idea of getting my own Kalimba after playing around with his for a few hours, and I was shocked to see how cheap they were. I am very happy that I went with this one since it feel, looks, and sounds great! First off, it's feels like it's made out of real wood, no particleboard or cheap stuff! The keys all feel like a good quality metal and the overall construction of this thing is top notch. It's nice that it comes with a tuning hammer too, since I've seen some other Kalimbas that don't. The fact that it also comes with a hard case and a soft pouch is nice, as you can be as protective or casual with it as you want when you take it places. For at-home use, I find the pouch is more than enough to protect it from spills or any other accidents. The sound is beautiful and I really cannot ask for anything better! I love this thing!

The media could not be loaded.  I have no musical background and never learned any musical instruments before. Kalimba is such an amazing toy that is easy to learn and very friendly to beginners. I can even learn to play a complete song in a week! Also, I like its timbre. It's light and bright. Sounds like a real piano! The craftsmanship is great. Looks so nice and exquisite. What's more, a protective case and a cloth bag are attached. Good gift for friends.

The media could not be loaded.  I play guitar all along and my cousin always ask me to teach her, so I planned to buy this kind of little instrument to her first - who doesn't love special "toy"! The sound of this thumb piano is chic and it's well made, I'm really enjoy to play songs with my cousin and she has a hard time to put it down as it's so interesting for her to play! The most important thing is it's portable and she can always bring it with her : )

This is a really good instrument!Great for beginners.I’ve never used a Kalimba before so I’ve got no experience. This wasn’t an issue though because the tines are labeled both with numbers and the musical notes they produce. This makes playing songs from tablature super easy and can be done as soon as you’ve got your Kalimba tuned.Great sound qualityI have to admit that I haven’t heard many Kalimbas in person, so I could be wrong. But my friend’s dad who’s super into music and instruments saw me messing with mine and brought out his own to show me. I tried it out and surprisingly the quality matched that of my Kalimba. Which means that unlike other beginner instruments you’re not getting a lesser product.Good build qualityThe Kalimba is lightweight but sturdy. So you’ll have no issue holding it in your hands for awhile while you play, but you’re also not going to smash it if you squeeze it a little hard or accidentally drop it. My only complaint is that a couple of tines buzz when you play them. This is apparently a common issue you’ll have with a Kalimba so I can’t knock them too much for it. However about 3 of my tines have that issue, which is sort of a pain. If it were just 1 I wouldn’t have minded much, but having to fix 3 of those seems a bit excessive.

Good sound. Sturdy case. Everything was there. Pretty wood. In tune. Sister was very happy to get as gift. Plays it for her cat.

You know, children don't go to school these months, they stay at home every day. I am going crazy......You can't let your kids watch TV or play video games all the time to get some peace and quiet. Maybe this finger piano is a good choice. It has a pleasant sound and very easy to play. And, it's really a durable toy for boys to use the little hammer to adjust the key tones.

My 12 year old daughter wanted a Kalimba for her birthday. I was a little hesitant purchasing one because I could only find them online. I even warned her that it might not be as good as she expected since it was a purchase made online. But I was pleasantly surprised with this item and the company I ordered from (Funny Music). It was beautifully crafted, came with everything that was stated and worked perfectly. She received it just a couple days after we ordered it (almost a week earlier than expected). With in two days she had already learned a couple songs so it is easy to learn to play. Now I am contemplating ordering one for myself.

When I saw this I said what the heck is that. Sorry never seen one before so I started investigating. I looked at many and decided I might like to learn to play. Out of all the kalimbas I look at, I decided on this one. I am so glad I did I love the sound and the quality. I’m no expert at playing but it is fun learning!
