Top strings
These really are excellent strings indeed. I have also tried the Jumbo King phosphor bronze, which are also very good but these 80/20 bronze are a better match for my guitar. These have a very nice tone and depth. Deep sustaining lows, good mids and sparkling highs. Overall a very nicely balanced and toneful set. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is that I found the G string windings quite quickly wear on the frets, but I guess this happens with most strings, and to some degree is a consequence of my style of play. These have become my second favourite string set for acoustic guitar, my current favourite set is the Martin SP 80/20 lights (12's). The wound G string on the Martins is fractionally heavier, but this seems to help with durability and longevity. The Don't believe the 1 - star reviews - the Roto's are very good strings, and made in England which is a feel good factor if you live in England and want to buy British.

Sorry Excuse for Strings
I liked these strings. I like them a lot. They had a nice fresh tone, and I was able to get them for 3 bucks. The first set lasted for about a week; when the G string broke I figured "That happens," and ordered a second set. I have had them on 2 days...only 2! and was tuning up to STANDARD tuning, only to have the the G string break again. Now, that's pathetic performance. When a string pops going into standard, yeah, that'll happen. When I'm dropping the G down to a D? There's just no excuse at the point. I only got a second set because they were so cheap, and now they've jacked the price up.If you only need your strings for 2 days, go ahead and buy these. Otherwise, stay away.

What a sound!
These strings are proper belters! The powerful punch they push out when played hard leaves most others behind...and they go on for ages too.Quality British-made kit that brings real depth to any acoustic, as long as you're not trying to be quiet!

Goooood strings.
I like heavier gauge strings. I use 12’s on my acoustics and 13’s on my electrics. These Rotosounds come with a wound third which gives great tone and is easier to bend than a plain string.I wish they still offered a piano wound option.Rotosound strings age well. They lose a little brightness but that suits me as I like a little Neil Young in my playing.

Poorly wound at the ball end
Went for these because I needed to quickly and cheaply fit a set for a trade in. Must've got a duff pack, the low e-string was so badly wound at the ball, with lumps and sticking out bits of metal it wouldn't slide through the pin. Had to use a different brand for that string. Frustrating.

Not for me
Did not sound right , normally use fender but thought i would try these, the ones i bought for my electric were fine but had to change the acoustic ones after a few days

Nice Strings.
My manufacturer of choice for over 35 years. I also much prefer SB to phosphor bronze. They are less brittle (I have snapped new PB strings bending them) and they do not 'go off' as quickly as PB ones. To my ears they do take a few hours to settle in and sound right, after that, lovely.
