I've shopped so many different breed specific websites trying to find the perfect comfort-harnesses for my mid-sized dachshunds. They are bigger than miniatures but smaller than standards. The thing about dachshunds is their chest is larger than the typical small breed, and it is so important to protect their backs from injury.This harness looks EXACTLY like the ones sold on dachshund specific websites, but for nearly 1/3 the price.I get lots of compliments for how cute they look and the fit is perfect. Not a single rash or chaffing on either of my pups, even after miles long hikes. My little girl pup has sensitive skin with some dilute alopecia in her armpits (hairless patches), and she has never shown any signs of irritation from this harness. It fits loosely enough to wear over a sweater in the winter while still being breathable in the summer, but still snug and secure - no wiggle room to escape.My blue & tan girl's measurements are:Neck: 13"Chest: 17.5Length 15.5"She's a lean 12lbsMy blue and cream piebald dapple boy's measurements are:Neck: 14"Chest: 18"Length: 15.5"He's a stocky 14lbs.Both wear Medium.

Seems comfortable on my 2-yr old Maine Coone. He gets right into it with no trouble since the buckle is on his back and not his belly. The clasp is sturdy, and with the Velcro flap, I feel confident that he will not slip out. Well designed so his long hair does not get caught in the Velcro or buckle. What do you think of my little boy?

Love this harness! At least I think my dog does ... it’s so soft, has double security features with Velcro AND a buckle, looks great, and fit perfectly! My frenchie is still a puppy at 6 months old and 17 lbs. I bought him a LARGE! Come on people, it is SO important when writing reviews to include the size info!!! I was grateful for those who did. And for those thinking to buy and reading my review, when you buy this (because you should), make sure to leave a review and INCLUDE THE SIZE YOU BOUGHT with info or pictures on your dogs size! :bI will definitely be buying this again when he grows out of his large, if he does. If he doesn’t, I’ll probably buy more in other colors anyway because it looks like it fits him so well! Frenchies have sensitive backs!! For anyone who has a frenchie, dachshund, or other breed prone to back problems, this would be a great harness for them! And it is NOT recommended to walk dogs like this on collars! So get them a harness, preferably this one! Their back will thank you for it :)

Just received this and put it on my 21lbs Jack Russell terrier. Normally I would order a medium cause he's a medium size dog but I went by the chart. Glad I did cause he measured as a Large. It's easy to put on and is light. Fits like a glove. Pickles is giving me his 'awkward' look since its new! LOL. Definitely take measurements and go by chart. Would highly recommend.

Stitching coming apart after 2.5 months.Just after the return window closed, the harness started falling apart.There was no chewing or unusual use. Just normal use for a couple of months. Products should last longer than this.I probably will sew it up, but seriously, why should I have to for a new product.

I recently bought both the fuchsia and the lime green versions of this harness thinking that it was the same material as previous harnesses I have purchased from Best Pet Supplies. The material is unfortunately different. The mesh on the inside of these two harnesses is rough and will pull the hair off your pet. Less expensive brands are usually made with this type of material and so we had become loyal to the Best Pet Supplies brand after a bad experience with another brand that left our poodle terrier mix with severe bald patches where she came in contact with their harness. I am disappointed that BPS has now changed their product quality and will no longer purchase this brand. We have returned both new harnesses. It's unfortunate because the colors were fantastic, but the materials were substandard. I am happy with the fit and quality. A small fit my rather large 15-20lb house cat.

I loved it for the first day he wore it. He then proceeded to pull and the harness broke. He has been missing for three days now :(Probably fine for an easy going dog, but definitely not for a strong, high energy dog like our now missing beagle

Super easy to put on. Way faster than traditional harness. Bought Xs and S for our kittens. Xs for our girl who is maybe 7-8 pounds. Just fits and can snug up the Velcro . Same for our boy. He is larger 10 pounds plus. Didn’t measure them for sizing, but these fit. They walk around no problem because not too bulky.

Our little Pomeranian doesn't like anything being put over her head, so we always had a battle with previous harnesses. Even though they had adjustable padded straps with clips, she had to put her head through first. We originally bought an extra small size of this Voyager when she was 1 year old, but this is now a bit tight. There isn't any wear to speak of, and the velcro fastening has allowed us to continue to use it as she grew. This is the next size up and it addresses all the issues. The velcro fastener is supported by a clip across it where the lead attaches, though honestly the velcro is very secure itself. Fitting it takes seconds and she happily plonks her paws in the holes. It is easy to avoid putting it on backwards (or upside down!) unlike other harnesses I've used, and Rosie ignores it completely when it's on. A brilliantly simple product.

With my previous harness you could hear us coming a mile off with my dog coughing due to the strain on her throat, as a youngster she's just starting out with lead walking. With this harness there's no strain. It's light weight and comfortable and very well made. It doesn't appear to be causing any matts in her soft long hair. My girl is wearing an extra small, be sure to measure, she's 12.5 inches and it fits with room for some growth. Super easy to put on and take off and she appears to like wearing it. I will be ordering another as she grows. Totally worth the wait for delivery and it's a must for a small dog.

I've been using these harnesses for years and they are the most perfect ones I have ever found. They're comfortable, non-chafing, easy to fit and don't pull off if the dog stops suddenly. You can put them in the washer after a muddy walk and they come out looking like new. I'd honestly say you'll get two or more years out of each harness before it starts to break down or look shabby. Just be careful to keep the Velcro clear of hair and keep it closed when washing - that way it will last longer and close better and you will get a longer life out of the harness.
