Kindle Edition review: a catastrophe — but the contents are very informative
This is a very interesting look at ADHD. The book cites research and evidence and offers evidence-based theories on how ADHD works, about how ADHD impacts life, about how it can be treated, and how it connects to other disorders. As far as I have read it, I found its perspective very helpful. And so far, I would give it 5 stars. But that is where my review of the contents needs to end, as I have trouble reading the Kindle edition. The Kindle edition appears to be a raw OCR scan of the book. Page numbers of the printed version appear in the middle of the text and interrupt paragraphs, tables have lost their boxes and structure, the table of contents has no clickable links to the contents of the book, the TOC menu is empty except for “Beginning”, there are no links from citations to the references they cite, parts of the text are arbitrarily colored red, lists are not formatted and indented nicely, etc. The book is still somewhat readable, but these problems are jarring, distracting and hindering. If the above problems could be fixed, then I am sure this book would be worth 5 stars.

very informative
Very accessibly written and the most up to date book by the author, it seems. Contains details about what to ask on the clinical interview, similarities and distinctions to other disorders, comorbid conditions also explained in detail and with examples. Detailed explanation with examples on what "executive function" is and what a deficit might look like.beware: the Kindle lacks formatting and has no table of contents, see images. Tables are not formatted at all. It seems they just copypasted the text from a pdf.

Best expert on ADHD!
Dr. Brown's previous books are good--this one combines much of his previous writing in one volume. He is a researcher who makes the field understandable to the layman while still giving valuable information for professionals. This book is a great resource in being able to understand and inform others regarding an often misunderstood condition.

Up to date informations on ADHD
Some weaker chapters, IMHO, like chapter 5, where the author tries to explain the central mystery of ADHD, but a great book overall, with up to date informations on ADHD.
