I was looking for a bed that both my cats could fit into because they like to snuggle. This bed was described as being 24 inches across but as you can see in the photo, it measures only 21 inches. Still, it's a nice bed and very soft. My cats will nap in it but sometimes will still use their old cat tree bed. It's just barely big enough for them but I think it's the best one I've found.Edit to add: I see that Amazon now describes it as 20 inches. When I ordered it, the description still said 24 inches. Anyway, as long as the cats are happy, it doesn't matter.

I have a big (15 lb) orange tabby. i love him and spoil him but am still a cheapskate. so i thoroughly researched even the purchase of a simple petbed, to be sure i got the best quality for my buck. i read all the cust reviews of all the low-end (price-wise) beds. And WOW! my efforts really paid off. this bed is a gem. it really is soooooo soft that (i think another reviewer somewhere said this), i want one my-size for ME!! VERY plush. kind of like if chenille and velvet had a baby? this wld be the feel. the removable cushion has 2 different color sides(tan/dark brn), which i turn mine tryin to decide which way looks best (they BOTH look great! can't decide). the sides are soft but yet stay upright in the way u want. i put the cushion in pulled more toward the front, so it leaves a very low front and higher back, like a little cove. i think my cat likes it better that way. but whatever way i put it, HE loves it! And thats the most important thing right? He checked it out RIGHT AWAY. I did put a sheet he laid on all the time in it so he would know its his. the bed's very large, even for my cat. (the smaller size really might have been enough). sometimes i leave his sheet in there with him and theres plenty of room for him AND it. i'm just so impressed with this purchase regardless of the price. but the price makes it almost a steal quality-wise. Only funny thing is... the first few days of having it, i think the feel (not-sure) overstimulated his kitten/nursing instincts. he wld get in it make biscuits/drool/try-to-nurse so much that sometimes i think he got out just to get a break. lol! he still does it some. it's too cute. (p.s. price was 18.79 when i got it tho soooo...)

I just received the bed today.I bought this for my outdoor kitty that adopted us a few years ago. I worry about him being out there all night in the cold..we had a kitty bed out there for him already, that he uses daily/nightly but it always seemed so small. It got really cold out last week (to the point that the news channels were suggesting that you bring your pets indoors); since that's not an option for us, I put a fuzzy pet blanket in his bed hoping it would help keep him warm- PROBLEM...the blanket was rather large and placing it in the bed made it impossible for him to get cozy. He was no longer IN the bed but rather on TOP of the bed. I worried about him all night (Yes, I spoil him) :)SO....I searched....and found this bed. After reading all the positive reviews, I bit. It was a great price, too! I opened the package as soon as I got home, pulled in his other bed and placed his fuzzy blanket in the new one...IT FITS!!! With extra room to spare. I quickly placed it back in "his spot" on the porch and seriously, he crawled right into it. He's been snuggled up for the past hour and a half. Since he's a rather large kitty, 14-15lbs, it was hard to find a reasonably price large bed for him. He always seemed uncomfortable and "smushed" in his old bed...now he has extra room to sprawl out.Anyhow, I definitely recommend this bed. It's soft,warm,reasonably priced and large...so if you have a hefty kitty you're looking to keep warm and comfy, this is PERFECT :)

My cat loves it! She sits in it most of the time or on my computer. Came a little bent and the sides are kinda funky because of it but still is durable and comfy.

Actually, it looks like a comfortable place to lay down if I were a cat. However, I am not and I bought it for our cats to use (one at a time, of course). We put it out and they sniffed at it, but no takers. Our cats, five of them, say paws down, it is a reject. My guess: they like to isolate themselves when they sleep. With a single cat it might be more acceptable. We found a small enclosed space is better. I put it down to warmth, which may be part of it, but there is no rating for dark, quiet or isolating, all of which I think a cat wants sometimes. Cats also like sunspots, but I admit I didn't try locating it in such a place.

I took it out of the box and put it down on the floor to go recycle the box. When I came back, my cat was already in it, purring and kneading it. I've had it for two days, and she spends most of her sleeping time in this bed. She likes to lean her head on something when she sleeps, and the sides of this are very soft, but give her just the support she likes. My cat is happy, so I am happy.

I got this bed for my cat's 17th birthday because her first one was too small and became lumpy. My idea was a circular bed will be more comfortable than an oval one because she can sleep in every direction. That she did, but instead of taking advantage of the additional space, she tried to curl up against the wall. By doing this, she ended up lying on the inside of a collapsed wall with a back foot under the cushion. So much for giving her a bed two big cats could sleep together in.Like the old cat bed, this one has lumps, but they are not as bad because she sleeps everywhere on the cushion. What really sucks is not being able to use the black side because it is always very dirty and even washing the cushion does not help. If you still want this bed and have a brown tabby, get the mocha one.I give this bed three stars because Patricia likes it and washing is as easy as throwing the two parts in the washer - no unzipping required. I never thought about returning a bed Patricia sleeps in every day and night, but from now on thick walls that do not collapse on a cat's weight will be my #1 criterion when I shop for cat beds - and they certainly will not have black fabric.

I've had this cat bed for months now and my cats' STILL hate it. I would not recommend it to another pet owner at all. My cats avoid this bed like the plague.The only reason I give it 3 stars is because the quality is pretty decent. Unfortunately it does not get any use and I plan on donating it to the humane society. Hopefully the cats there will find better use of it :)

I honestly just wanted to get a cheap cat bed and see if my cat liked having it or not.He loves it. Can't get him out of it.It is a nice fabric and decently washable. I like the reversibility.The sides aren't very sturdy but the bed maintains its shape even when my overweight cat sits in it.I would not hesitate to buy another one of these, it's a great product.

I wouldn't call it large! Just the right size for 2 small kittens. The sides are ultra flimsy and not as tall as pictured. Not worth the price paid.
